  1. No. Because it would have meant a great strike won a game that was always most likely to end 0-0.
  2. I can see your point, but were we really lucky to get a point? We kept them down to one goal, so we were always within a chance of a point, which we got.
  3. To be fair Willock hasn't done much with them, either. But Bruno adds a quality that has ment we can carry him. Not too much as he hasn't been completely anonymous, He just hasn't made Joelinton and Bruno look as good as they are. A more involved player adds more value to their contributions.
  4. He was in the team to replace Bruno, therefore it was his responsibility to try those passes. I can't fault him for that. He lacks Bruno's ability, so is always going to have lesser returns, but he didn't shy away. Willock appears to be shying away. I'm not going to blame him for their goal, he could have been quicker, but that doesn't necessarily mean he stops it.
  5. We need Miggy and Maxi zigging and zagging more. Miggy's cross from the left was a peach.
  6. I think it was against Villa, where he scored one similar, albeit from the other side [I think]. It got a 'lucky' deflection, but I think the deflection was the intention. Hit it with force into the most obvious gap, and you're 90% certain to get a deflection that loses the keeper. I was half expecting him to do that again, but maybe Schar's precision in that instance, was the percentage play. I do hope it's got nothing to do with his right hamstring.
  7. Could have had Semedo sent off if he'd been less determined to do things properly. Can't complain, but a bit of shithousery there would have calmed a few nerves. Worldie to grab us a deserved point, so I'm happy he's the hero at the end of the day.
  8. It's between him and Willock as to why we struggled to break them down. And I think it swings against Willock. Willock has played alongside Bruno and Joelinton so far, and failed to impress. I think Longstaff does better today with Bruno in the team.
  9. We looked good throughout, but Wolves [the other team, remember them?] looked a bit better. Wood isn't a top forward, we know.
  10. I've said for donkey's he'd be an invaluable sub. His energy is a valuable contribution whatever is required.
  11. Make the most of your opportunity to whinge as he clearly won't be.
  12. Not bad. No surprise missing our two most important players weakens us in the most important areas. But we pulled a point out of the bag. This is where we are, this season, get used to it. Get Anderson in instead of Willock.
  13. Maybe not able to put his hammy under the strain. Worrying.
  14. More importantly, the fact that so far this season when we've NEEDED a goal, we've found one, highlights the team spirit.
  15. Based on 50 mins, Man City deserved nowt versus Palace.
  16. It's crazy and doesn't do us any good. Of course our second choice isn't as good as our first. But the same players had us with the 3rd best form in the second half of last season. Not because they were brilliant but because we got behind them.
  17. Have you seen how many points we've gained from a losing position, since Howe took over?
