You'd think the Department of Culture and Sport would rectify that.

Reminds me of the Paul Smith range, from about 1990.
-
He needs to have a word with Pele.

He's been playing in a different league to the PL. There is nothing to say his attributes can't be used in different ways. Look at Bruno. A DM/CDM through and through, but we want to use him in a more advanced role because we recognise his attributes are beneficial to the way we want to play in the PL.

It's modern technology to blame. It just can't handle a bank holiday.

Yeah, that's not what I'm saying. I'm just saying I have no sympathy for anybody in that situation. i think if you've earned 300k per week [10 average annual salaries PER WEEK], for 4 years [208 weeks], you should be in a position to consider a £40k per week salary. Of course it's understandable, if I could earn 300k per week for doing nothing of any note, then the very idea of 40k per week to actually put myself on the line would be madness.

This is it, as far as I'm concerned. Wilson isn't necessarily injured, just in a place where playing him could lead to injury. That was clearly how we handled Targett, caution first. Howe mentioned the heavy load due to fixtures in relation to our injury worries, and he is not afraid to use squad members to keep us as fit as we can be. If only some fans could support those players who need it most.
-
Pretty sure that just allows them to put more strain on their muscles, no?
-
Let's stick with Willock then.
-
I think on 300k a week it would be easy to convince yourself you're the Queen of fucking Sheba.

Stopped an almost inevitable goal in the early stages against Wolves.
-
Obviously I'm speculating here, but the fact he hasn't moved to a lower PL team strongly suggests he doesn't appreciate how lucky he's been. Nowt I hate more than a player who flops at their 300k pw job, then refuses to take a reasonable salary.

I don't see Miggy playing much differently in the 10 role, just gives him more opportunity to pop up on the left and get a cross in, primarily I want him linking up with Trippier and Bruno, with Isak's priority being to find space in the box.
-
I couldn't give a shit about him myself. He chose a Chelsea salary over his career, he doesn't need any sympathy from me.
-
If we play Miggy in the 10 he can do what he does on the right, on the left as well.

Rodgers just turns up to work one day and dumps £120million on the chairman's desk.

You've just got to look at where we are this season. Happy to be fighting for 7th, but if one of the top 6 has a poor season, it's payday. That's enough return for the investment they're prepared to make.
-
Who cares how good he was for England 4 years ago? It's about who he is now, and nobody knows because he hasn't played for two tears. I get what you're saying and if we signed him I'd be more than happy to trust Howe, but until somebody with any authority gives us something else we can only go on what we've witnessed, which is very little.
-
Because most of them are happy fighting for 7th [especially now it can get you into the European Remedial Cup] and don't want to be priced out of that mini leaue.

Delle Alli has 37 caps for England. What's your point?

Imagine if the queen pegged it today and it got called off. -
Thought it was too tall for Trippier, but the hair colour looked the same.

Be better if it paid dividends.

EDIT: I jumped the gun. Seems very nervous in the beginning of that interview. Still watching and he seems to be growing in confidence. Hope he can put in a performance tonight. Think he'll get two goals. -
Personally I would leave out Murphy, but I don't think Howe will. Time for Elliott to get minutes before him, but I see him as more of a replacement for Willock.
