At his age clubs would probably also want to see that his body doesn't turn to glass after his first injury Also it feels like young defensive english players are usually linked with higher value moves than wingers

They probably don't, his contract isn't up and he could, but that wasn't my point. I think he's too young and raw (only played 17 games at top level with only 1 goal) for anyone to pay such a "finished article" amount of money for him. Also, he'd might request a transfer if they go down. 50m would be a crazy gamble

Cant see anyone paying 50m for Dibling in the summer - especially if Soton goes down. 25-35 would be more likely
