  1. Botman 4.5m absolute lock. Cheap enough to bench any given week.

Howe + Barnes feels like the perfect fit in my opinion. Would welcome that one coming off

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

So happy the thread title has changed. Genuinely believe Ashworth was thinking f**k signing anyone when the title reads 8tmosphere

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Agree and the thing we have above all else is a coach that will improve anyone that comes in as well as the toughest atmosphere in the league to play under (alongside Anfield imo). Marry those up with a team spirit we've developed since the takeover and we will still be sniffing around the top 4 next season. We've got bedwetting about transfers and we finished 4th last season with Jacob Murphy playing 50% of league games at right wing. The recruitment has been and will continue to be excellent with Ashworth, Nickson and Howe at the helm.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Yeah whilst I love the fact the club do business behind closed doors now, I am parched for some juicy link or a video of Tonali getting out the black people carrier

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Makes me think Ferran Torres rumour could have something in it.
  11. About 50 goals away from Shearer? Another year at Spurs and that will be half that if he hits usual standards. Levy might be thinking he would then sign another Spurs deal and stay to break the prem record.

Pre season started yet or what? I miss seeing my striker

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Diaby won't be going to Arsenal when they're spending £200m already on Rice, Havertz and Timber + Saka is nailed on RW starter.
  14. After missing out on Maddison, I had a look at the below; Europe's top 10 chance creators 2022/23 1. Bruno Fernandes – 219 shot-creating actions 2. Lionel Messi – 189 shot-creating actions 3. Kieran Trippier – 178 shot-creating actions 4. Kevin De Bruyne – 176 shot-creating actions 5. Remy Cabella – 174 shot-creating actions =6. Jonas Hoffmann – 163 shot-creating actions =6. Martin Odegaard – 163 shot-creating actions =8. Benjamin Bourigeaud – 161 shot-creating actions =8. Bukayo Saka – 161 shot-creating actions 10. Antoine Griezmann – 158 shot-creating actions
  15. Keep going back to the fact it's so exciting as a fan that I'm pretty 'meh' about us missing out on a player as good as Maddison as I trust the recruitment to have someone else as good/if not better lined up.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Gvardiol to City for circa €100m plus Nkunku going to Chelsea strengthens Leipzig's arm in our bid for Szob you'd think? They don't need to sell at all unless the player kicks up a fuss.
  17. Interesting if Kane is off to Bayern it makes the move a bit more questionable on Maddisons side?
  18. Says a lot about him if he goes to Spurs. Time will tell if its the right move but we're building something special with/without him.

    Tino Livramento

Amen to this. It's more in the Chelsea/Man City ilk of buying youth that you can sell on at a later date. Literally investment as a way of balancing FFP. City have many examples of this, a few actually went to Southampton last season? We aren't used to it, but the winger Minteh at Feyenoord on loan this season may never play a first team game for us. But signing at £6m we could bank a profit on him within 1-2 years if he does well on a loan or two. Livramento coming in and learning off Trippier (in his final few years) before becoming our first choice right back for the next however many, for somewhere between £15-20m? Great recruitment yet again if we pull this one off. He will also get plenty of games this season, we need a squad. Look at Man City again as the blueprint, they could field two 11's that would both finish in the top 4.
  20. Yeah you'd expect us and Spurs to hold the power here. Neither of us will overpay but seemingly we're the only buyers at the table. Leicester know they must sell, it'll fund their rebuild and they'll be flogging a player who will no way on this earth be happy to play in the Championship. Appears Leicester are trying to play the 'we won't sell unless x price is met' card but there comes a point where that has to be dropped to guarantee a sale.
