Goes under the radar keeping Bruno, Isak and Gordon. That itself shows we're a club on the up. The panic to not have a shiny new toy in already is a bit OTT in my opinion. We've got a squad capable of competing for top 4 and have no Europe this season so playing that Howe intensity should be more recognisable again compared to last season when the players looked visibly nackered. Add in Tonali return, Lloyd Kelly adding depth, Lewis Hall perm getting done I think the club are well within their rights to bide their time and land the correct RW/RCB to fit our squad harmony as well as being first 11 quality. Personally, I'll assess the window at 1st September.

Enjoyed the Hull game on Sat. Thought Pope, Hall and Murphy were excellent and looked really sharp. Isak stood out by a mile when he was involved - his football IQ and dribbling just a level above anything else we have. Looked in good shape albeit Hull didn't offer much other than keeping the ball in their own 2 thirds quite neatly at times.

A point was probably fair result, considering they played well and we were slightly below our par. I was disappointed with our final ball in the final third, so many times we got someone in the 'pocket' running at their back 4 with options either side and we didn't get the final ball right/held onto it too long etc. I'd say there was 5-10 occasions that fell into this bracket and we're normally pretty clinical from them. Referee was poor, for both sides. Wilson not getting a free kick when the guy was literally kegging him a highlight.

Would love to keep him at the club in some capacity after his playing days are done.

We're comfortably a top4 side in this league by the way. The Liverpool defeat is skewing the table in terms of where we should be. Statistically, and I'm not the type to go by stats i prefer seeing with my own eyes, we're top for xG and 2nd for xGa. Best attack and 2nd best defence in the league after arguably the hardest fixture run first 9 games? We're going places.

I know Youtube literally shows the best bits to a player, but the natural talent on show at 18 is frightening. Couple that with Eddie's coaching, a squad full of good characters and a fanbase who will love him and we're looking at a bargain for £30m. Yet again, recruitment spot on. Barely put a foot wrong since they came in. We've got Ashworth doing a Brighton on steroids job on us + there is no need for us to sell on our stars that Eddie develops. The future is so bright & exciting, lets enjoy every moment.
