According to their forum they haven’t even sold 1000 yet, so certainly won’t have taken the additional ones they had the chance of.
-
He played the day after posting that. Wasn’t in the squad yesterday mind.

You would think any new safe standing section would be the catalyst for this. Will undoubtedly be hell on when it’s introduction means people have to move, but a discount on their ST’s for a year or two, or something of that ilk, should pacify things to a degree.

Are you not getting Holt mixed up with Hope? https://thisisfutbol.com/2023/01/blogs/premier-league/newcastle-united-craig-hope-alexander-isak-injury-setback-transfer-nufc-magpies-eddie-howe-callum-wilson/ *spoiler - the headline is absolute bollocks…

Saying he was “awful” yesterday in particular, is a bizarre take.

It’s nice when a team like Bournemouth come up and it’s someone different, but the novelty sharp wears off after 2/3 seasons. Will probably feel like that about Brentford in a couple of years.
-
Tbh mate, if you have a membership and are able to log on the morning they go on members sale, you shouldn’t really have any issue getting a ticket. *possible exceptions being Liverpool, Man Utd and the last home game of the season.

The Arsenal match is our 18th league game, and it cuts off after 19.

Don’t think there’s any buses after 7:30pm, although don’t know specifics of particular services
-
Why would you want him to get booked?
-
£35m would seem a bit extreme for someone to probably be understudy for the next couple of seasons. Obviously there’ll be a lot more games in Europe comes about, but you’d still be wanting Trippier on the field for all of the big ones.

After 7 games our GD was +1. A bit mad we’re +20 (F24 A4) over the the last 9 games.
-
All very well saying nice things, but the fact is he pushed to leave because he was homesick. Appreciate he was young but he strikes me as someone who’ll stay at Sociedad, or around that area, until he retires at about 33/34.

Craig Hope says it hasn’t

Whilst there may be some elements of Atleti in our defending and game management, I don’t think they’ve ever pressed like we do.

When they come up against Eddie’s world-leading press…

Sounds like L7 ST holders will be able to get their own seats rather than having to choose the lower bowl on Friday. Apart from those in the blocks next to the away fans (depending on how many Leicester take).
-
I know we’ve probably got more ST holders than the total allocation would be, but not every single ST is going to want to go. Obviously first chance of winning something etc. will mean that the vast majority will, but some will not want or travel that far or just not be able to afford it as the tickets are usually pretty expensive. I’d reckon every ST that wants one would get one. Probably wouldn’t leave many left over mind.
-
Possibly. Nobody knows. I’d think (based on absolutely nothing) they’d go down the normal loyalty points route first, but there’s probably only 10-15k of ST holders that will have any points, so that’s only about half the allocation. Maybe after that they will go to who bought tickets for the previous round, but plenty went through general sale, so I don’t think they’d give those folk priority over ST holders that didn’t go. If we do find ourselves in the final though, whatever method they decide upon, you can guarantee there will be a tidal wave of bitching and moaning.

The problem with sacking Lampard, and hiring someone to ‘keep them up’, is that it’ll be another hefty contract payout for them. As our friends up the road found out, once you get into this cycle of hiring, firing, payout, you eventually reach a point where it eats into your transfer budget to such an extent you end up with nothing, like they found themselves with under Moyes. Tbf to Everton they’ve still got a few very sellable assets in Pickford, Gordon and DCL (injuries permitting). But if you keep having to flog the family silver…

Nah, all four straight into the group stage now.

When was the last time Chelsea sold a genuinely established member of their squad to another PL team, and it worked out well for the buying club?

72 points from our last seasons worth (38) of games. Spurs finished 4th on 71 points last year.

I think “really solid” might be pushing it. His first touch is still a bit Bambi-esque, but having said that, he doesn’t really piss about, only really attempts stuff within his capabilities, so even if he isn’t great with it at his feet, you don’t get the feeling he will make a mistake with it.
