I take your point. But if he was underachieving (in terms of results/points) by as much as he’s overachieving at the moment, I’m not sure anyone would be saying that?
-
We’re the same as every other major fanbase. You think if Liverpool or Man Utd were going through what we were that they’d stand for it? The pressure they’d be putting on the owner would be relentless. Well the Glazers have been taking the piss for years and apart from the scarf thing a few years ago, they’ve been given a free pass to do so. Do you think that at boardroom level at Manchester United, they are talking about wanting to avoid Champions League qualification ? Probably not. But I don’t want to descend into a futile “our owner is worse than your owner” debate. The point I’m making is that other clubs, Man Utd being one, are not being run as well as they should be, and there are no mass protests at those clubs either.

There was more empty seats than usual. Not massively so, but I’d reckon the actual attendance was closer to 40k than 45k. Obviously no Metros didn’t help.

Yeah. It’s the first match the free half-season tickets are valid for.

Newcastle United vs Crystal Palace (Saturday 21st December 2019 KO: 3pm No TV)

Palace's possession stats are nearly as low as ours. Both going to want to counter-attack. Can't see either side dominating the ball to any large extent unless the circumstances of the game dictate (red card etc.) -

Their fans appear to be fuming at the ticket prices (£27). -

Yep, Rochdale fans don't seem to think there's any reason we won't be given that whole stand along the side, so shouldn't be too many problems getting hold of one for anyone that wants to go. -
Surely it won’t be close if we’re anywhere near 46 points!? Margin of error, all it takes is for us not to turn up against Norwich Watford and Southampton and we are in trouble We've overachieved against the 2 Manchester Clubs and Spurs 1st half of the season and there is only Norwich Villa and Sheff Utd of the games we've played away where I'm confident of getting 3 points from 9/10 points is pretty big margin of error though.

Burnley vs Newcastle United Saturday 14th December (Kick Off 3pm No TV)

Be very harsh dropping Manquillo after his last couple of performances mind. -
Well probably not, seeing as Norwich have conceded 11 more, and I would guess most of them have been from within the penalty area.
-
A fair and concise summary IMO.
-
And you would think we were bottom of the league the some people are gannin on. 4 points below 5th. That said, I understand and share many of the concerns. You look at it however you want I suppose.

Newcastle United vs Southampton Sunday 8th December (Kick Off 2pm No TV)

This is how deluded our happy clapper fans are. We won't be going for the throat mate. When was the last time we even had close to 50% possession? We'll sit back and hoof the ball to Carroll. Bruce just won't know how to do it any other way. Watford at home. Wolves wasn't that far away either. -
I reckon Adrian Mariappa for Watford is one.
-
Was going to guess him, but surprisingly only 5 years.

Not sure the mackems would agree with you there....

Where is this from as it’s down for next Tuesday on the BBC? BT announced it yesterday. https://sport.bt.com/live-on-bt-sport-01364117948039#?category=football&competition=FA%20Cup#HPTAB Going to be fun and games for the away tickets then with the Christmas break and our Box Office! You'd like to think they'll be ready to go on the Tuesday morning once they know who it is... Can't see there being too many problems with demand if it's Rochdale as Spurs got nearly 3.5k last year, so they could probably start it at 50 points and bring it down fairly quickly. Different story if it's Boston though.... -

Think it's unlikely there'll be a Friday game as most teams are playing on the Wednesday (NYD). Liverpool are playing the Thursday before, so their game will surely be Sunday or Monday. Think it might be a shout that that one is the Monday game as it won't really inconvenience anyone travel-wise (not that that's usually a consideration).
