Ederson is miles better than Ortega like. Ortega is fine, and it probably won’t make any difference anyway, but it’s definitely a step (or two) down.

Surprising. I would have put money on that just being a dead leg, the way Nunez’s knee went into his thigh, but there you go.

I think the main thing is for them to be making a concerted effort to try and get like-minded fans together. However they think is the most appropriate way of going about that, more standing, singing sections, whatever. Obviously something to try and reduce the random seating nature of ballot ticket seating that currently could place a family with young kids next to a couple of absolute radgies. One other thing, which in fairness might not be totally appropriate, is something @TheGuv raised a couple of weeks ago. When away clubs return tickets, is that area safe standing when subsequently used by home fans? Because as he described in his post, the ambiguity clearly caused some friction.

They’ll be paper mate. Sounds like a scam.

In total: Pope Trippier Targett (probably) Hall (ineligible) Joelinton Tonali Wilson *Barnes (totally unsubstantiated rumours based on him not being in the training pics)

And that you think the flags need to go cos they’re blocking people’s views of the players coming out.

Only conceded 1 goal in 8 away matches ?

Next season will be the 8th. And it’ll be the 17th out of 33 seasons of the PL. So the first time for a long time they’ve been out more than they’ve been in. Looking at the table of who’s been in the most, they’re currently 15th, so I guess they still have an argument for saying it’s ‘where they belong’. We’ll have been in 30 and out 3 if anyone wants to keep that stat in their back pocket…

Garnacho agreed. Putting aside my intense dislike for Ratboy, he certainly would on ability, although I’m not sure where he really fits into our system? Where would he play? Similarly for Casemiro, I’m not sure he really fits us either. Our midfield is mainly all about legs and/or engine, the one thing he hasn’t got anymore.
-
Aye, and there’s plenty of other reasons you wouldn’t want to sign him, but to suggest he wouldn’t be in our strongest XI is ridiculous.
-
Sure he’d be bang up for taking a 50% pay cut.
-
The age thing is a fair point, granted. However, Clarke has shown nowhere near enough to suggest he’s at the level of Almiron. Could he be in future? Perhaps. Is he now? Of course not. So any hypothetical swap, would instantly make us significantly weaker in the short term.
-
Almiron would be Sunderland’s best player by miles.

This guy has been organising coaches but looks like it’s sold out: https://x.com/causytm?s=21&t=OQLMckSuatbpqWF13Al4mQ

Tbf he’s never had a hamstring injury in his career until the game at home to us earlier this season.
-
Are Wolves fans fuming about him being ‘brought back too soon’?
-
Tbf he had one brilliant game away at Bournemouth and made one incredible save at home to the mackems (irrelevant really as in one of the 0-3 games). But that was generally the sum of his decent contributions.

Yes, I very much doubt incentivising clubs to sell academy produced players was in any way an intended outcome of FFP/PSR.

£28m according to Edwards latest article, but totally take the point you make.
