  1. His assist stats are horrific and the one time he manages to put one on a plate for someone from two yards, Murphy turns it into an OG ?
  2. I think he said he was 99% Bailey would start? So seems odd. But that’s always the dilemma about when to ‘rest’ a player in form. And maybe at home to a side with one away league win all season is a fair shout.
  3. @brummie easy with hindsight obviously, but why did Diaby start over Bailey? Just a rotation thing?
  4. I’ve no doubt he would have been off 10-15 mins earlier if we’d had a serviceable midfielder on the bench. But being in these kind of situations is absolutely going to stand him in good stead going forward.

    Tino Livramento

Yeah, Bailey was the first player I’ve seen properly go past him since Doku in cup, but given he looked like prime Messi when up against Burn, I’ll settle for the overall effect he had the situation.
  6. Aye, he’s now on 9 yellows as well. Hurry back Harvey son….

He’s probably one of the best one-on-one defenders I’ve ever seen for us. Shifts his feet so quickly. And as he gains knowledge/experience of training and playing with Tripps, he’ll only get better.
  8. If we were getting beat at that point he’s 100% going through him ?
  9. About five minutes after he got clattered by McGinn, anybody else find themselves going “DON’T, DON’T” as he closed him down towards the corner? Think it took every fibre of his soul to restrain himself from giving him one back ?

    Match Atmosphere

Expectation is an atmosphere killer the world over. Again, like with the away end atmosphere, I’m not disputing there are some issues (we definitely need to try and get more like-minded fans together somehow), but whichever team you are, going into a game expecting to win, chances are the atmosphere will rarely be bouncing, especially if things start going against you.

    Match Atmosphere

Not denying there have been some issues that have probably had a detrimental effect to the away atmosphere. But if the last few days have shown us anything, it’s that WINNING FUCKING HELPS. Especially nights like tonight, where we definitely went in with relatively low expectations. Similar to Man Utd in the cup (when everyone heard the team anyway). Nights like tonight are fantastic as an away fan. Looked from the TV like there were plenty of young un’s in the away end (sold out at low points), so pleased they’ll have experienced it.
  12. Since he came here he managed to correct just about every wrong that’s happened under his watch. The only one he hasn’t is Liverpool/Klopp, and tbh he kinda did in the game at the start of the season until the mental last 10 mins.
  13. Never doubt him. Never.
  14. Another example of Man City making a few mill off a player that never played for them.
  15. Blackburn selling Adam Wharton to Palace for ~£22m. Not sure if they’ll be getting a replacement in?

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

There’s also the option, if Barnes were back, of dropping Gordon into the midfield three. Although given how good Gordon has been, not sure it’s one we would take.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Not if it’s the next two or three games obviously. But if he survives a bit longer than that there’s a reasonable chance.

Well done the medical team. Great job.
  19. Potentially, although demand is so high amongst ST holders with low points, that its never happened since the takeover. Tbh, given how many members we now have, opening a few hundred tickets up to 60k+ people would probably be a right bun fight.
  20. This probably a view echoed by many. And as has been mentioned, some excellent midweek Ewood memories in the not too distant past.
  21. Yeah, which, allocations aside, is one of the main reasons for preferring Blackburn over Wrexham. No-one wants to go to Wrexham midweek.
