8 points will be plenty in the event of getting there ?
-
You would have thought so. In which case we’ll almost certainly be Tuesday/Tuesday
-
I know our box office are often a bit archaic in some of the way they do things, but I’m not sure I’d be expecting them to be adhering to the same policy they used 25 years ago…
-
Man Utd are away at Arsenal (4:30pm ko) on Sunday 22nd, whereas us and Southampton both play Saturday 21st. So looks nailed on first leg will Tuesday 24th. *unless they did something funky like playing one on the Thursday but I doubt it
-
None. You lose any loyalty points if you give up your ST.
-
Presumably home fans weren’t particularly arsed about that one and didn’t turn out. You’d imagine this will sell out.
-
Have to offer them all 5k ish. Man Utd and Forest would easy take that. Doubt Southampton would

“The fans fault”. Sure we’ve heard that somewhere before… Tbh though the sad thing about this is that the only ‘change’ that will result from any investigation is reduced away allocations at Hillsborough. The root of the problem is the design of that stand, and no-one’s stumping up the cash to significantly change that.

Wor Flags: visit worflags.org.uk/donate to support future displays

To be fair I think you can blame the announcer guy for that. He definitely got everyone waving scarves/flags at a least a couple of minutes earlier than normal. -
They do. The issue I would have with ‘expiring’ points, is that I think you actually run the risk of increasing those that ‘buy to sell on’. At the minute if someone with loads of points isn’t going to a game, there’s no real incentive for them to buy a ticket just to sell on to someone random. Sure, they may buy one for a family member or friend if asked, but it’s not really worth their while to get it for someone they don’t know, just to accrue another point that they don’t really need for future tickets. Now, if you have a situation where points are limited to 3/5 years worth, they may then be of the mindset that they have to keep getting a ticket for every game in order to stay at the top of the pile, and thus will more frequently be buying to sell on. As ever with tickets, there is never a perfect solution.

Whilst I wouldn’t say it was “about everyone” that brought a scarf, it was certainly more than enough to make it visually impactful, and a lot more than I was expecting. Think we may have reached the point where Wor Flags reach is hitting mainstream support rather than just social media/online. -
Whatever way they choose to do it there will be relentless pissing and moaning from those it doesn’t suit. But let’s get through the semi before worrying about that…
-
Technology and non-transferable digital tickets are the eventual answer. Even then there’d probably be a way round it, but it would reduce the ‘buy to sell on’ market significantly.
-
When @Chicken Dancermentions protecting points, I assume he means that if you have a load of points, then drop your ST for a period of time, the points become active again should you subsequently get a ST again. Rather than being able to use them to get away tickets without having a ST.
-
Southampton just being in the semi final would be ideal for obvious reasons! ?
-
Games will be back-to-back for us as it’s FA Cup 4th round weekend in between. Probably not a huge advantage as only Man City (Arsenal (h)) and Wolves if they beat Liverpool (Brighton (a)) look to have taxing games that weekend. Good result in the first leg though and the build up to the second leg will be immense, especially if it’s a home.

Which is the main problem with the whole thing really, as you can just as easily make a case for anyone that walked away after the KK fiasco. Although to be fair, I don’t think the lads discussing this above are really arguing the case either way (well not much anyway). Seems more an issue with the Trust and what was allegedly proposed, as opposed to arguing the issue with the club.

If you’re in Europe, aye. Although they’ve only had the European qualified teams coming in later for the last few years.
-
We take a couple of the chances in the first half (Isak in particular), we win comfortably, he doesn’t even need to bring any of the main lads on, and everybody says it was a brilliant decision. Them’s the margins….
-
So was I. Remember screaming about Drogba moving the ball to get a better angle on the free-kick he scored from to win the game. Mind you I’ve just gone back and had a look at the two teams that day. Miracle we stayed in it for that long tbh.
-
Biggest domestic game since when? We’ve actually been this far three times in the last 10 years, but I don’t recall ever genuinely thinking we had a chance of winning the whole thing, like I do now.

Feels like Eddie confirmed we’re going as strong as possible, without actually confirming it.

He’s had one injury. Alright it took significantly longer to recover from than initially hoped, but seems a bit OTT to be worrying about his long-term fitness. *and just for (a somewhat pointless) comparison, Haaland started 21 out 34 Bundesliga games last season.
