Having two mediocre keepers didn't help like.
-
Yes he replaced Venison but lasted only a season before Barton replaced him. A bit of a sideways upgrade really.
-
We've never really had a "top class" RB before Trippier in all the time I've been following NUFC since the mid 80s. The likes of Venison, Watson and Barton all gave stirling service but were too limited in ability to be rated in the same bracket. I've never rated any of the ones post Bobby Rodson era, especially Debuchy and Janmaat but at least we got decent sell on fees for them.
-
Defensively if we keep what we have fit then I don't see the need to strengthen there, likewise in attack. Maddison has to be our priority if we're only going to make one signing in January.
-
We would have to give him away due his wages. He'll be here till his contract runs out in the summer of 24.
-
If they don't get a manger in beforehand it'll be an easy win imo. If anything that last game against Brentford will give them a false sense of confidence. Edit: Just seen they got Emery in as manager, will make it harder but we should still be beating them.
-
Trippier is about 5'9 but looks like a child compared to the rest of them.
-
Don't be silly. Pardew stumbled onto an ideal front 3 in Ba/Cisse/Ben Arfa with a solid midfield two of Cabaye/Tiote behind them, the rest of the team was mediocre. We also hit on with Chelsea and Liverpool being well below their usual standard in the final placings.
-
He's got the Woodgate syndrome for us now, great player on his day but can barely string two appearances together without being injured.
-
I'm sorry but the thought of him being in any position of the front 3 is absolutely horrific.

Empty stadiums and Willock's purple patch got him out of the shit in his second season. If either of those aspects did not happen he would have took us down for certain. -

Two of his eight WBA wins were against Hull, it seems everyone there still has a soft spot for him..... -

Has to round his career off by taking Boro into league one. Come on Steve Gibson, you know it makes sense..... -
"Low class dumb" I assume you're a yank. I said it was small time, which it is. How many of the other 19 teams in the league do it?
-
Hope we keep the pressure on and beat our PL away win record (5-1 at Coventry). Had about half a dozen 4-0's as well.
-
Bar Bruno that midfield five is horrific.
-
Nice of his mam to post on here.
-
I'd imagine so. Lets be honest even if Pope had played two blinders, Pickford was always going to be No1 at the WC. I guess it'll come down to club form now as to who gets the no 2 spot.
-
I think he'll be number 3 behind Ramsdale at the WC after that performance but fair play hes been excellent for us thus far.
-
He's a league one player now.
-
I hope you're being ironic.

This. He's dropped a few clangers for Everton but cannot recall a single goal hes been at fault for for England. He was faultless in the euros bar a mad ten minute spell against Denmark where he kicked the ball straight to their players a couple of times.
