Where we are now is the norm for all of our younger supporters, the Pardew 5th place finish aside. No wonder they're largely apathetic to our plight. Even 30 year olds will barely remember the two most recent cup finals. With the top 6 teams blowing everyone else out of the water in the transfer market it will continue to be a closed shop, even the league cup is pretty much unobtainable now. I was born in 73 and I've pretty much come to terms with the fact I'll never see us win anything meaningful in my lifetime.
