To be honest, you probably wouldn't get worked up if you actually listen to him.

Or just normal people for whom being the angriest most extreme online caricature they can depict isn't the be all and end all? People with different priorities to you? Even people who maybe aren't aware that they're violating some sacred code? Judge not lest ye be judged is a decent if archaic mantra. Nail on head. The sooner some of the more militant corners our fanbase realise this, the better. The way to unite against something is not to alienate the majority of people you want to unite with.

Elsewhere he says 3 or 4 to be fair.

You're a strange character.

The peasant things that he said in retaliation to being verbally abused in the street? As far as I'm concerned he's well within his rights to say something back to someone abusing him.

happy enough to ignore his total shithousery to sheff wed then? and his previous record for fucking clubs over to further his own ambition nice guy steve Shithousery? All I've read is speculation. I’m not sure I agree. Pretty much everyone I have spoken too about NUFC are angry, some won’t even talk about it anymore because the anger is that bad. I’m even coming across fans of other clubs who are starting to agree with us, I thinks it’s the case that allowing Rafa to leave has made fans of other clubs sit up and take notice. My stepdad worked with Bruce’s brother, and you are right, he’s a Newcastle fan. However any self respecting fan should have looked at the bigger picture, Keegan, Shearer, and Rafa all told him not to take the job on. He ignored the advice of what are now 3 legends of the club. Let's see how angry everyone is once we've made a few more signings and the season is upon us. Rightly or wrongly, I can almost guarantee you that the anger will have simmered and there'll be at least 45k at the Arsenal game. People just want to watch their team... it's a simple as that. You've got to remember that at least 75% of that stadium on a match day will leave the ground and barely give NUFC another thought until the next match. They're not all "die hard", "read everything on the internet" kinds of fans. Sure, some are. But most, and certainly those I've spoken to, are just too busy in their day to day lives to really get angry enough. Rightly or wrongly, at lot of people's attitudes are simply "life's too short" to worry too much about it. I can see it from both sides. Too busy in their lives to consider whether they are being robbed blind. I can believe that. Yeah, 100%. Most match day customers are relatively casual fans in comparison to people on this forum. Most just want to go to the football. It's an emotional, communal thing for them. They enjoy it, regardless of the ownership.

Honestly, and without any internet bravado, how vocal a supporter were you on a match day? A big singer?

You do realise just how extreme the views on this forum are right? Literally every fan I've spoken to outside of here (some of the guys I used to go to the game with, and some lads I play 5 a side with)... they're all willing to give him a chance. The anger is solely directed in one direction, and it's not Bruce's. This place and Twitter just aren't remotely parallel to the general feeling... not even close. A very loud, aggressive and militant echo chamber. My personal view, I've always quite liked Steve Bruce. I don't think he's a very good manager (certainly a massive downgrade on Rafa), but I've always liked him as a guy. Nothing I've seen so far has changed that. I personally do believe that he has the club at heart (I know a couple of his close friends and he is definitely NUFC through and through... always has been). I don't blame him for taking the job... any NUFC fan who was offered it would jump at the chance thinking that they could make it tick again. The main reason I'm angry is because ultimately he is a huge step-down from Rafa, and Ashley has yet again shown his complete lack of ambition. Rafa should have been backed, without question. But he's gone. I just can't bring myself to be particularly angry at a guy who has fallen on his feet and taken a dream job. We all would have done it too. I have jacked in my season ticket this year, mainly due to anger at the club's lack of ambition, but I know absolutely fine well that I will still get the same buzz if I ever do go at all this season, especially if we win... I know that because I've already found myself getting excited at the prospect of these signings. I don't think you can lose that childlike excitement... I know I can't. Maybe that's a fault of mine.

I mean I’m all for boycotting and forcing Ashley out via protest. But i’ll never ever ever understand this mindset. The “wanting us to fail” mindset. It’s tiresome as f***. It isn't "us" anymore man. Of course it is. No. It’s not. Ok

Maybe that's what it is?! He was so shit at the start, I then had a fixed opinion on him and I was overly-critical and never changed my stance when he came back in. chelsea & man city i think were the games, looked so badly off the pace it was terrifying didn't play again for nearly 2 months then was class until he fucked off to the asian cup What? Our results were largely horrendous in the lead up to him going away (as they were for a few weeks after as well).
-
we're really not like doesn't necessarily mean that everything is shelvey's fault or whatever just that once ki came in things clicked for the team as a whole largely due to the way he played it out per loki's post...from that point on shelvey was done under rafa imo especially as we had 2 cb's that could play the hollywood balls shelvey was doing anyways we went from have 1 tactic/threat - shelvey direct to the strikers from deep - to still having that option but also being able to play through the middle and move the whole team up, bringing the full backs into play higher up the pitch etc. not sure what you were watching Not entirely sure how that’s Shelvey’s fault like. Seems more of a tactical fault to me.
-
I think people are drastically rewriting history, or at least placing far too much importance on Ki being the turning point. Yes our play could be one dimensional when Shelvey was in the team, but I’m not entirely sure if that’s Shelvey fault. The team was crying out for Shelvey’s vision / passing ability prior to Almiron arriving. Would have perhaps been nice too see him in the team alongside Ki.
-
So why did we start winning last season after Shelvey was dropped? We started winning last season when Almiron arrived.
-
Ki is the definition of a nothing player like. Genuinely can't tell you anything he's particularly good at. Shelvey, on the other, has better vision than most, and we all know how good his passing can be. Yes, he's not much of a grafter, but what he brings to the table is far more important in my opinion. Shelvey's lack of involvement was always a frustration of mine with Rafa. One of my few frustrations with him.
-
I like Shelvey, like. Good player.
-
If I’m being at all fair to the guy, he is speaking to a room full of Chinese journalists.
-
Yes You do surprise me. Still going obviously. As long as you're happy. Aye I'm fuming and I usually don't even watch the games anymore. No I’m not still going. Packed it in this summer. But I really did enjoy having Rafa around, despite the owner. Now he’s gone though...
-
And in fairness, there weren’t many complaints at the time about Roeder considering how well he did as caretaker.
-
For fucks sake...how many times. It wasn’t Redding that claimed that at all.

In my opinion it has to be completed in the next week or two or forget it Completed in the next week or 2?. So if it takes another 14 days that then means we have 23 days to appoint a manager a coaching team then manager assess his squad get to know them and then analyse what is needed to bring in No f***ing chance you can do that in just over 3 weeks it's just not possible. The takeover bullshit is another Ruse to avoid spending money on a decent manager and players Perez leaving is biggest hint that no takeover was ever intended as why would they agree a price then seller sells one of your big assets before sale is completed It's like agreeing to buy a car agreeing a price then seller saying I've just sold the wheels They had no choice on Perez man his release clause was activated ...if you believe them. Yeah I do but I'm not into conspiracy theories like some It’s not a conspiracy theory... just strange that it’s only the nufc side that are mentioning any clauses. Leicester just say undisclosed. I trust them at all.
