  1. He's one of the best of all time in that position, nee doubt about it.
  2. Suppose the answer is kind of wrong though as they haven't included Yannick Toure, it says nothing about senior appearances, just signings for Newcastle. Edit: Scratch that, they specified senior appearances
  3. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/yannick-toure/profil/spieler/421824
  4. Watching Man Utd v Real Madrid. Marcelo is absolutely ridiculous, favourite left back I've ever seen by a mile.
  5. Yannick Toure. If he has signed yet? Think he has. So there is Schär, Mbabu, Toure and Hottiger. Who's the 5th? Anyone knows? Siem De Jong
  6. I'm just saying, currently I think Leicester is about Maguire's level. I think he would be 'found out' a bit if he made the step up now. I may be wrong.
  7. Lascelles and Maguire would make for a dream combo. Yeah, sounds good in theory. Never know, might get to see it some day - not at Newcastle like, unless there's significant changes in coming years
  8. Think Maguire is decent but Leicester is about his level. Feel he would be found wanting if he moved to one of the elite clubs. That said I feel the same about Lascelles, although Jamaal seems to have a bit more about him from a mentality point of view which would serve him better.
  9. Can't recall a single one. Had a good think and browse. Possibly the first in the Premier League, seems to be more common elsewhere like, Coman & Rodriquez to Bayern recently to name a few.
  10. All for this lad. Bit of a turn of pace about him, and if he can bring that work rate, discipline and commitment Japan displayed at the World Cup I'm sure Rafa will value him highly.
  11. Looks a little bit like a mix between Sergio Ramos and Cristiano Ronaldo. He's a better player than them both, though.
  12. Been watching some videos of him, I find those clips where they show a players every involvement in a single match a decent way to get a basic understanding of how a player operates in game - at least more so than highlight reels. He seems very intelligent in that he reads the game well, stepping out to stop danger before it builds momentum. In the game I watched (Basel v Chelsea) he was constantly looking for long passes forward - diagonals into the channels and was successful more often than not. He was also taking free kicks from deep meaning he is trusted as a good passer of the ball. The one negative I noticed was him overplaying slightly at times and giving away short passes in congested areas, but the fact he was willing to try means he trusts his footballing ability and wants to get involved which bodes well. Definitely a ball-playing/playmaking centre back. Quite excited by him, tbh.
  13. Doubt that's the case here. He barely featured for Japan (1 sub appearance iirc) and Rafa is far more thorough in his planning than that I'd think.
  14. Chelsea are such weird fuckers man
  15. I remember the days of Sisto, Berisha, Plea, Townsend links. Man, those were the days. Fwiw, I would be excited about Muto. I haven't seen much of him, but I signed him on Fifa some years ago for us and he was great.
  16. Decent signing if true. Much needed if Lejeune is out for a little while. Hopefully he can join the squad in Portugal so Rafa actually has a chance to work with him. Transfer window remains a shambles regardless tbh.
  17. I know you hate him but that’s a bit harsh. Not really sure what the point of of editing a months old post about me saying I just didn't rate a player and thought he was getting by on memories and reputation into that was like, but crack on.
