Possibly Tarkowski of Burnley in over Jamaal, and definitely Monreal over Davies - agreed other than other than those though. Kabasele at CB was really good at first but Watford have started shipping goals since then.

The last 7 games doesn't look too bad, with the wins away to west ham and stoke, but christ if we cold have won just one of those home games. I know, really hope we're not looking back on those games at the end of the season wondering what if. I still feel positive about our chances as things stand though.

I have always had a proper soft spot for Fulham mind, love their ground & they were the opponents the first time I got to go to St James' Park back in the Bobby days. Glad Mitrovic has went there and will be watching their games keenly.

Was there even anyone available for £30m who could be guaranteed to score goals? We were quoted £20m for Jorgensen and he wasn't guaranteeing anything. Imo unless you're signing Lionel Messi there's no such thing as a player who will guarantee goals. There's a multitude of reasons why players might not hit form at a new club despite doing well for the former clubs. Messi is the only player in world football who transcends that.

Slim seems like a really switched on guy going off the interview we conducted with him yesterday. I'm really excited about having him here and just have this feeling he will score plenty before the end of the season. We are already playing in a way which suits him more than Leicester ever did, and I'm sure Rafa will make slight tweaks to really see him flourish leading the line for us. Not sure we could have done better in terms of signing a striker in January than him.

Has Samir Nasri retired? Noticed he's not attached to any club at the moment despite being only 30. He's a quality player when he's at it like.

Really starting to love the guy. Has a way of his own when striding forward with the ball, electric to watch. He also seems to be becoming more authoritative in his own ability to keep the ball and try and fashion something himself. That's the player I saw at Norwich, but now a level above. Very well done to him this season like.

As awful as Burnley were to watch yesterday, they have played some genuinely good football at times this season so I wouldn't lump them in with Allardyce/Pulis teams. Yesterday they appeared that way but I reckon it was more a tactical decision based on players missing & the limitations of the players stepping in. Their starting 11 wasn't great and they done what they needed to get a point out of the game, as ugly as it was. And fuck me it was ugly.

We create a ton of chances. We've been really good in that department all season and is partially why I haven't been that worried about our survival chances. If we had a striker from the beginning of the season we'd be closer to top half looking up than bottom half looking down.

You do know that's Steve Wraith, right? Is it? There's personal/selfie style videos on that feed though, of him out on runs talking to the camera and whatnot.

Joselu tries hard, he's one of the good guys in the stream of bad-attitude players we've had over the years. For that I can't be overcritical of him. He is a 5m player, 2nd or 3rd choice at most other clubs. It's Ashley's incompetence not Joselu's that sees us in this position - bare that in mind.

I don't think anyone thinks he is great mind, just that he deserved a lot more chances considering Gayle and Joselu consistently stunk up the place. He'll be gone permanently in the summer as Rafa clearly doesn't rate him. Yup, this.

We just got bullied out the game with their subs. Burnley are one talentless team - awful to watch. Thought Aaron Lennon was canny for them when he came on Yup, if they had a quicker striker we would have been in trouble a few times with Lennon's passes.
