But could he do it on a winter's afternoon in Başakşehir?

That Semedo for Wolves was recently a Barcelona player right? Jesus.

Would have thought the only real option was Dummett until Bruce started playing him lately, unless there's an outgoing transfer in progress.

This result has been blatant to so many people on here ever since attention turned to this game, Derby mark II. So predictable, so shit. -

I predicted Fraser would get the next few weeks off... not quite what I had in mind. Won't be a miss tbh, he's done nowt. -

Wonder what Fraser's going to do with his next 3 weeks off. -
Would worry massively about that defence. Murphy is nowhere near a right back, Manquillo far, far superior there and Lewis looks really poor. Carroll really impressed me yesterday though, fair play to him.

Elliot Anderson (now playing for Nottingham Forest)

Aye. Matty and Hayden centre midfield. Anderson number 10. Fraser and ASM wide and Wilson up top is our best bet with everyone back fit Howay man. The lad has played about 20 minutes of football, how is that our best bet? Anderson is better than Almiron? Nah man. -
Around £10m back to the Bundesliga or Eredivisie I reckon.

Asked the same during the game, looked it up and apparently he plays centre midfield/attacking midfield. Occasionally left but mainly central. -
Smartest thing to do would be to cash in on Darlow's good form at the end of this season (£10m+ you could get for him) and keep Woodman next season to play the cups and offer cover to Dubravka.

Tierney is wonderful like. Hadn't really seen what he's capable of until today. -

What position does Anderson usually play? Guessing it's not out wide? -

Hayden is a better centre back than Lascelles. -
Steve has spoken.

Mikel Merino was a solid signing that we probably wouldn't have made without the influence of Rafa. Every chance he becomes a mainstay in the Spanish national team and gets a move to one of the historically top clubs. Every club gets signings wrong, I think for the most part we do quite well in the transfer window when we actually decide to take part.

Plenty of managers with half a clue would absolutely love to have a player like Almiron to work with. He's a dream for a coach with his stamina, attitude and teamwork. Football isn't as individualistic as it used to be, it's all about systems these days and managers are likely more than ever looking at the attitude and work rate of potential signings as something key. He wouldn't have a shortage of suitors. He's still one of the best players at the club for me, despite the poor form.

If I enjoyed watching us play and we had a likeable manager who actually looked like he knew wtf he was doing, I honestly wouldn't care if we finished in the bottom half season after season. Although you'd imagine we'd be doing a 6-10 every season with that kind of management. Yeah. This club is so easy to get right, we've had glimpses even under Ashley but he continues to wilfully fuck it up.

Willems is a bang average defender and can't be a positive that he can't get a look in at a mid table bundesliga side, we have Lewis out altogether and still had 3 fullbacks on the bench today, we don't need another one. Much more important positions need improving before we put another fullback in the squad Disagree. Dubravka couldn't get a look it at Prague before we signed him. There's other factors that can be at play, and having been on loan, expressed his desire to leave his parent club, and having had a serious injury, it's not really any surprise he's not playing for them currently. Doesn't necessarily mean he's worse than what they have. Either way he's twice the player of Lewis and we should sign Willems whilst he develops. Was outstanding for us, people seem to forget just how good.

Think the points total to stay up will be very low this season. We've 19, I reckon 34 keeps a team up.
