I feel like he's looked most dangerous for us going through the middle tbh, makes him less predictable. the only thing it did for him was allow him to be more central and get on the end of a couple of things when he scored his few goals last season, in terms of his general play on the ball i don't think he was really much better though probably a bit better than when he was on the right for obvious reasons you're sacrificing a position with him in there imo, someone in that role should be comfy on the ball, beat a man, have good balance and be able to get their head up to pick the right pass and that's not almiron :/ I'd have him there just for his lovely smile, his happiness is too infectious to be out on the wing, needs to be the beacon of light in the middle But nah, you're probably right, either way his ability to win the ball back and then drive forward is hugely valuable to us whether done from the left or through the middle.

I was at Bratislava airport on Friday night and the security guard was telling me there's a football team landing shortly... Adama is highly-rated, and ASM is the next most similar player on a similar trajectory in the league. They may well be interested but I don't think the guys writing the articles would know that.

Getting to this point myself, unfortunately. From Bournemouth onwards I barely paid any attention to our games. Usually despite safety/end of season I still get a feeling, but that feeling in my gut is fading. We're an aimless club, quite literally here to make up the numbers. We've a few decent players in Saint-Maximin, Miggy & Dubravka but we're the most boring team in the league to tell the truth. Our fanbase is dulled, atmosphere at St James' doesn't exist and hasn't for approaching 10 years, football in general is shite these days and not worth the attention we all habitually give it.

In that the focus of the supposed leak is of the managerial structure... would that suggest everything else is fine and that's the final sticking point? Or is it just another spanner in the works? Or is everybody just talking shite as usual?

Lazaro has made an impact pretty much every time he's played. Baffles me that article when you consider Bentaleb & Rose who have done fuck all but been mainstays. Anyone with sense would sack those two off and keep Lazaro.
