Playing Carroll up top and hoping for a repeat of the WHU performance is lazy from Bruce imo. Brighton's centre backs are towering, we should have used the squad and started with the more mobile, agile players in Almiron and Fraser and got them playing in and around Wilson, occupying the 3 centre backs. As things stand Carroll is dropping deep and Wilson is left to contend with all 3 defenders, poor tactics.

I'd be the most inventive midfielder if I was playing alongside Winks and Hojbjerg tbh.

I like Mourinho, but this playing style of Spurs (or lack of) is pretty terrible. That said I don't think their squad is good enough either, but certainly should be controlling the ball and looking more competent than they currently do. Their central midfield is poor, Winks/Hojbjerg is bottom half standard and the defensive 5 isn't much better.

Those two improve Spurs massively like, and looking at their squad they really need it too.

"What has stuck out for you in that first half, Tim?" "Robin's Koch"

Probably just means on his way back to fitness hence the running emojis. -
Aye, more than happy with him tbh. One of our most consistent performers.

I'm backing him to kick on quite a bit this season with less weight on his shoulders. I think this new role for him to support the striker will see him grow in confidence massively, and I'm of the belief that football at a high level is mostly a confidence game. -
Is it true he is/was one of the highest earners at the club, only surpassed by Shelvey prior to this transfer window? I have heard as much anyway, and had wondered if it would hinder a loan move for him. Wish him well.

The Athletic said it somewhere and everyone took it as gospel despite no suggestion of it during the signing announcements. People are more likely to believe news reports if they subscribe to the publication. Maybe, a form of cognitive/confirmation bias perhaps. I've always been very off-put by their presentation of themselves, sports yuppies.

Always good for a bacon sarnie though. Nobody can take that away from him.
