Thank his touch was his downfall tbh. A few times he was in a good position and took a shite first touch and couldn't recover. He done some decent things too though, namely making runs for Shelvey to hit.

Almiron was motm imo. Looked a cut above any other player on the field for either team. Later in the game he was trying to do too much maybe, but what can we expect when nobody gives him the options to release the ball in a threatening position. Shelvey was canny, Gayle was meh. Would still play him next game though.

He's been mint this season like. No excuse not to play Schar and/or Lejeune now though.

Why the fuck is Gayle marking Scott Dann on 3 consecutive corners? I've noticed that quite a bit this season, putting a small player on an opposing centre back on corners.

You're right, but urgh. We only miss him because Bruce can't get Schar and Lejeune playing in the same team though. Not like we missed him the back end of last season. We just miss having a midfield with a semblance of quality and confidence. Bentaleb is nowhere the pace, or maybe he's just always this nonchalant, and Sean is just lost out there. Shelvey for all his pitfalls at least makes you feel confident of making something happen when he's on the ball.

We miss Shelvey a lot.
