Was glorious. He is in general tbh, the real deal. I loved Rondon for his warrior-spirit, exceptional touch and the general atmosphere that surrounded that team; but Wilson has to go down as our best striker since Demba.

Not been that impressed by Willock like. Looked some way behind the likes of Saka, Smith-Rowe and AMN to me. Same with Reiss Nelson and Nketiah. Maybe they all just need more game time, but not convinced on evidence so far.

wer...what...now? Former City and Hull player Omar Elabdellaoui. Norwegian international which I'm guessing is why he's on Kaizero's radar. -
As a Fulham or West Brom fan I'm looking at us 8-10 points ahead after beating Everton today and thinking "they're going to be safe". As a Newcastle fan you're looking at it thinking there's a long, long way to go yet. Probably a 4.

He was on form with his interrupting the interviewers question thing today. You would think he was on a game show with the clock against him or something. "In which country does th..." "BACON".
-
He's got decent pedigree having come from Le Havre's academy into Manchester City's development squad. Must have something about him.

Corners are such a weird aspect of football. I reckon all professional players can put in good crosses in training, but come match day you would think it's the most difficult skill to execute with the amount of terrible corners you see each week (not just from us). Fraser has always looked capable of crossing well and consistently, but Shelvey who couldn't beat his first man a few weeks ago is now doing it too. Confidence in football is everything imo, in that it unlocks players ability, without confidence ability seems to go out the window.

Aye, granted. The guy he replaced at Luton was really well-liked by the supporters for his style, so he was probably up against it from day 1.
-
Not to be negative, but I reckon it's more having someone, anyone in other than Bruce & Co giving instructions that's lifted the players this week. Which is pretty indicative and damning given that he's a coach from the championship who was hardly heralded by fans of his former clubs.

Parker seems far more astute than Lampard as a manager, which is a fair comparison to make I think.
-
We as fans should be wondering why we haven't been seeing that kind of performance every week, Mike Ashley should be wondering why he is now paying two manager's wages.
-
Cliche but that Everton team are too soft to kick on much further I reckon. They need more Allan's.

Yeah, he was out right quite a lot with Almiron occupying the middle. And it was working. I was watching thinking....is, is...is this...tactics?

What a beautiful feeling

This fucking lad man. I've said it before but we are so lucky to have him. -
Superb defending from Schar there.
-
First goal I've celebrated in months. Simply because I feel we actually deserve it.
-
In a word he hasn't, no. Past 12 months he's been so underwhelming and indicative of our major issue - just no urgency, pace or nimbleness in midfield. Compare us to a team like Leicester and it's light and day. Christ, sounds like us & Jonjo Shelvey.

Neil[/member], has Andre Gomes never fully recovered from that bad injury or does Ancelotti just not fancy him? He must be a better option than Sigurdsson in the middle... I always thought he looked good.
-
It's always Fabian Schar

Interesting shot there where both Jones and Bruce stood up to shout instructions at the same time and Bruce was the one to stop and take the backseat.
-
Nothing to get too carried away about, but we look competitive and are asking questions of the opposition for once. Thought Almiron and Manquillo were really good there.
-
Manquillo so much better than our other 47 right backs. Glad to see him back in. Dubravka next please Mr Jones, and we may start to recover that solidity at the back we became known for under the previous manager.
