Staggering quote that. Is he honestly claiming professional football players can't pass the ball around? Many of the same players who were doing it just fine last season? Individually they're all more than capable, there's a fine line between most players playing at the top level, the difference is made by coaches instilling belief and encouraging a brand of football which allows players to bring forth their talent (just look at Brighton, Sheff Utd). His decision making with the ball has been shocking though, even in advanced positions - so it’s not a positional thing. He wants far too much time on the ball and gets caught on it so much or can’t hold his nerve and gives it away needlessly. He needs time out of the team imo, he’s not currently good enough.
