There may be an issue with adapting to the new hierarchy / arrangements and that might be being played out in sticking to his guns and being inflexible with tactics and selections and staveley leaving the set up has probably changed the dynamics dramatically in terms of how much agency he has over every aspect of the club. I could also be talking out my arse. whatever, the people who own us will inevitably be asking questions about why the money invested so far is not leading to targets being met. While this is not ideal at all I suspect they will be considering his position and options. they are businessmen and they will be thinking like businessmen and will not necessarily be open to the nuances of football and the complexities of it all.
