I was keeping an eye on the score yesterday and, when Northampton were 3 zip, thought that was it. Got a text off the bairn asking if I'd seen the Rovers score 7-0( 3 zip as well, the last time I looked). Just had to nash back inside to watch the remainder. Obvs it took a few seconds to wonder why the pitch was empty but what a finish. Just watched this fans' vid, not something I'm usually in to, and you get a proper feel for what these things mean. "Geordie Maradona" etc. Must've been mental down there as events unfolded. As someone said previously the proponents for The ESL don't give a flying fuck about the pyramid family or the supporting public. Football isn't about Man City fans moaning about missing a final because of their "wafer thin squad". Man U fans crying into their dinners because they've struggled to finish 6th. Nor, even, Everton fans raging after spending half a fucking billion on players. It's about David Kelly scoring to keep the toon up. Goalkeeper Jimmy Glass scoring for Carlisle United AND monumental games like yesterdays. -

I've gone from sacking off 3 season tickets Watching the toon but no other football play on the box, with anticipation, but not giving a fuck when we lose Detesting football and what it's become Having a political/moral aversion to our owners TO Watching L2, L1, any football at all really and back to eating, drinking and sleeping all things NUFC £200m will give me a boner all summer

I've no idea what players contract status' are or salaries but moving them on isn't simple these days. Esp given the lack of funds further down the pyramid. Interesting shuffling to be done.
-
Presumably, should we get those mythical 4-5 star players, the current starters will slip down the pecking order into "squad player" status? I could re-energise my "straw man/tongue in cheek" comment that some people seem to think we'll have 25 galaticos by christmas but it'll be a more controlled, gradual process. Imho, obvs

Been given the nod/wink the ESL is still happening. Only reason anyone would cough up that amount. Unless they were money laundering or, er, sportswashing

The team or the town

Could've been in "Other games" or "Twitter nonsense" but.....

I thought he was going to have a shit. When in Rome, and all that.

I was raised in Bensham and I, vaguely, remember a cricket ground nearby. Swear down an Uncle told me Durham played there occasionally. Mind it was varnigh 50 years ago so probably pish.

Opinions are like arseholes. Everyone's got one. Mine, in this event, is based on views I've actually read. I guess it's a "straw man" post because I can't be arsed to back it up with links. I'm not THAT fussed tho. I just think the patter's amazing with some kids. Everyone's shit and "we can do better" type crack.

Toon fans turning their noses up at Pickford, Lingard and Dummit's one year? Gonna be a busy summer for wor Amanda building that 100k seater stadium and buying 25 galaticos.

Like him or loathe him, reaching the Conference Final obviously means a bit to Mourinho

0-0 96th minute. Sheff Wed push Bazza Bannan onto the pitch in his wheelchair. Plonk him on the 6 yard line then launch a ball into the box. Bounces off his head thru Patterson's (*) legs. 0-1 * had to Google who their keeper was.......obvs
