  1. I like the bloke but he was definitely the pantomime villain yesterday. Dived for the free kick which, it has to be said, was despatched with aplomb then spent the rest of the game being an arse. Noticed at the end when all their players were on the pitch he was sat in the dugout on his own. Looked well pissed off/in a huff Also the Joelinton header? Ref gave a foul, no? Would he have had the minerals to stick with that call if BigJow had buried the cunt liked he should've
  2. When I read all these platitudes I like to search back to when we were linked with him. Shit, apparently
  3. It wasn't the PL that speculated on "X's" ? value and the amount they could've reclaimed. It was Everton Everton WERE in dialogue with the PL over the whole time frame and fully conversant with the demands/expectations required of them. They chose to ignore.
  4. Reminiscing again. Played school football, decent. Played for the camp B team at RAF Abingdon Played 5 a side for the watch, station and Fire Brigade team at Eldon Square. The latter in goal where I received a sine-die for kicking a door after being sent off. Played loads of sat/sun football for Rutherford, The Westfield, Hussar, Dudley etc etc. One of the reasons I miss The Pink to read the Alphabet leagues. Also enjoyed watching the bairn play sometimes involving a round, trip to York on a Sunday morning just for that. Watched the nephew's and great nephew's as well. It's a great sport and great crack if you're in a team and all pals. Deffo better if you're getting 100k a week for it but there is alot to be said for just being involved at any level.
  5. Just started watching Britain's Biggest Football Scandal By rights City should be in the Conference next season.
  6. I've got an abiding memory of playing for the school, Kelvin Grove, circa 1972. Can't recall exactly where the pitch was but it was away from the school on a bitterly cold, windswept Bensham field. Absolutely pissing down. Was like the scene from Kes and I was Casper. Got hit on the ear by the ball. Stung like fuck for weeks. For some reason it sticks in my mind that neither parent were watching so I'm assuming some others were. Moved to Berwick where I played with Trevor Steven. Have I mentioned that before ??? Played loads of 5 a side tournaments at all the village fetes with the school team. We won one once so was very late home and my Dad went ballistic. Never watched me once though. The wanker.

  8. Sent Scott Sloan for a Chronicle once. That and lifting the 1998 Pauline Gainford cup with the Dudley Hotel being my glass ceiling. Decent full back, take corners with either foot, nearly typed "both" but that would be ridiculous. Without a shadow of a doubt I could've performed at a higher standard than I did but, much like Mr Ranger, alcohol and a stinking attitude stifled any progress above the Alphabet leagues Ended up being CM general. Miss it, tremendously
  9. A fairly honest piece, given the source, until the end then they were singled out, obvs ??
  10. Hope they ballot for season tickets and all us shit fans get them.
  11. Agree, none of our business. He should just do what that Diaz did. Carry on playing football, regardless, and just pull his shirt up to reveal the text... "Come home, luv, we all miss you" or "Can we have our stuff back" Or whatever ?

  13. Quite the opposite, in reality. MPs "represent" their constituencies, or are supposed to. They attend Parliament to speak on their behalf, or are supposed to. Them shitting the bed and voicing an opinion in line with many of their voters is exactly what democracy is meant to be about.
  14. Anyone else read that in the style of Shteve McClaren, for sure

  16. Quoting my own post, I kna, but was reminded of this and had forgot to mention another old bastard, retired colleague who's currently starring in Ken Loach's latest film. I'm still scratching my arse on the sofa like but basking in the shade of their glory as if it were my own.
