But we won the league cup last season pretty much the hardest way possible -
Will Osula: Goal vs Man United nominated for PL Goal of the Season

Very few times it seems. But one time he set up nicely for Barnes who shot just wide. -
I think he played fairly well last night at LB. Often see him tuck in in a back 3 with Trippier further forward like how we operated in the 22-23 season. As usual, he is mostly very solid defensively.
-
-
Absolutely. He is proper press-resistant, which helps big time in getting us up the pitch
-
Saying we deserve this half time lead is an understatement. Hope we for once keep the lead in the 2nd half
-
Renew Willock's contract now
-
How is that not a foul?
-
This Elanga looks more like the Forest version
-
Not sure if many of us or the players actually want to play in it. Yes it is a realistic chance to win a trophy again, but kind of hard to get excited about most of those matchups.
-
Still remember the good chemistry between him, Trippier and Bruno. Love those dings from Bruno to play him in.
-
Happy Birthday to this lovely chap. I remember because today is also my birthday haha
-
If he continued to rush out, he would be in no man's land. He backed off quickly and I think his positioning was good too (prioritise covering the near post). The shot was low and hard towards the far post so it was very much a tall task.
-
Not so sure why you don't feel comfortable with Gordon taking pens. He is very good at it. Pretty much all his pens were very well taken, and he only missed the one v his old club.
-
I wouldn't blame Pope for that winner. He did not make any obvious error, the defence hanged him out to dry there.
-
Who takes the pen should be something clearly decided before the match. Gordon is the 1st choice and rightly so. I think Bruno has been chosen as the 2nd option.

Hidesight is 20/20, but Guehi for 65 to 70m would not be an overpriced signing in 2024. But I guess we never had a real chance to sign him. And we paid 69m for Big Nick lol

City is the complete opposite of us. We are all hustle with no real quality. City is slickly passing the ball around, the players in the middle are in chill mode pulling the strings and creating real chances. But that's the result of years of spending loads without PSR restrictions
-
so much more enjoyable to watch compared to the shitshow yesterday.
-
I think it is fair to say the club has been on a downward trajectory since Ashworth left. He was spot on with pretty much every signing.
-
He is a bit of a stamina merchant. Good hustle and tidy on the ball, but not much real quality and flair.
-
An intelligent and tidy player with little pace and physicality left. Didn't get nearly tight enough to stop the cross for the 1st goal
-
Chelsea is inconsistent. There is still a small chance we can qualify for Europa if we manage to go on a run from today
-
We didn't have much of a chance vs City over 2 legs anyway, but this guy ensured no miracles would happen. Absolute sitter early in the 1st leg, and then missed a few more on Wednesday. For now, I much prefer Gordon as CF over him and Woltemade
-
My bad. I re-watched it again, the cross by Barnes was not terrible actually. But I wish he could put the ball in front of Elanga's path and made it easy for him to tap it in. Still, Elanga's finish was poor indeed. Well, it wouldn't change the outcome anyway, and he did score a cracking goal tbf.
