I’ve posted this video a few times but here’s a Ted talk from one of their owners who also owns fc Midtyland. it’s actually not really to do with football but more to do with what he calls outcome bias in business, but he actually uses our 5th placed season under Pardew as an example of how you can think you’re doing really well because you’re getting positive outcomes when in fact you’ve just been lucky he’s very knowledgeable about football. I’d love it if he owned us. might want to slow it down to 0.75

What a guy. What a fucking guy.

Anyone actually surprised by that? America’s a big country

Agree with that, though I don’t so much have a problem with starting Bellingham the other side of Mount but yes you need a Rice or Henderson in there for protection.

Personally don’t find peps teams all that great to watch. His Barca team were the exception, the way they’d keep the ball ticking along like a metronome.lovely little one two’s through the heart of the defence. Lovely little flicks and passing the ball through seemingly impossible situations. His Bayern and Manchester City team for me are nowhere near as exciting. Teams just sit back and can’t get out because of how effective the press is. leeds are my favourite team to watch these days, so jealous. Just end to end excitement. The movement is incredible and they’ll take the game to anyone.

Bilbao get a pass

There are a lot of likeable Spanish clubs. Bilbao and Sevilla among them.

Boro have the best academy in the north east don’t they?

We have the best crest going, it should never, ever change, I’d happily pay an extra quid or two for to keep it the way it is on merchandise products to keep it the way it is.

Listening to a podcast from around 26th feb. Interesting stats we were the lowest in the league for pressing particularly higher up the pitch, and also the team that conceded the most counter attack goals.
-
Thought we might have faded in somewhere in the middle. But I’d live to know how they collected those stats. 49% seems a little high.

I don’t see any issue with him going to a bigger club in terms of what he does on The ball, the problem is his fitness means he wouldn’t and isn’t able to press with too much intensity, and I’m not sure a manager aiming for 100+ points can afford to have someone who saves his energy solely for attacking opportunities. Similar to Ben Arfa he’s in the wrong era of football. Only Messi can get away with doing very little off the ball at the highest level.

There was an article in the athletic about them and most the comments are Manchester United fans ripping the piss ? plus this comment As a fan of another League One club (Oxford United) I would suggest that a vast majority of the Sunderland support need to learn some humility before they can progress. A constant of their time in League One has been an arrogance and sense of entitlement that emanates from their fans, particularly on social media. A quick visit to their message board or Twitter, after a defeat, shows comments such as "we shouldn't even be playing shite like this" etc, and until that attitude changes they are unwittingly heaping more pressure on their team and motivating their opponents. Sunderland will have a fourth season in League One, and that's no fluke, it's where they currently belong, it's on merit, and sorry to say it guys, the rest of us are laughing at you. Not because you're a big club in League One (so what, you're not the first), but because of the way your fans disrespected the rest of us (and many still do) and took success at this level for granted. You may not like hearing it, but that's how most League One fans view you.

Get in Lille. Luis Campos genius. Fuck PSG and Neymar

He is but it’s not his fault. Feel sorry for him a bit, he’s had loads of stick but he can’t help being shit, we should obviously have never signed him though.

Glad Willock didn’t take it tbh, keep his price down a bit
