I've read that, probably on here, but it surely cant be as it reads - nobody will ever be able to build a new stadium from this point forth and you'd be nuts with a stretched budged to expand too. Its so ridiculously restrictive - you cant expand even though you can afford it, it makes perfect business sense, is good for the economy and the demand is there just because - that in football, with the utter fear of threats to the establishment, I can well imagine it.

There's a thread about a couple of their fans going to the PSG game and they're being dismissed not real Sunderland fans, scum etc. Kevin Ball, who would get on their Mount Rushmore (is a thread stating so) did exactly the same. Took his kid to our Champions League games. Stated as much, openly, on TV. Wonder how they're wrestle with that. *Also saw Paul Bracewell as a candidate for their Mount Rushmore. He gave us really good service, I've nothing against him and he's clearly a much better player than Ball ever was based on careers but he wouldn't have threatened getting on the Mount Rushmore of any starting XI he was in for us never mind of all time.

I'd be disappointed if he wasn't cackling like VIncent Price the background after a fourth or fifth now.

The hosting of games at another major tournament and the possible, hopeful revisiting of remodelling passes almost unnoticed

I don't mind Vicki Sparks at all which suggests its not about sex but ablity and style and to be fair cant stand most of the male commentators now either. There's just no art to it now. Pundit-wise there's a tendency to want some experience at the level they're pontificating on but at the same time since John Burridge's rant back in the day about not having a worthy opinion unless you've played I realised that's too blanket. The opinions of many footballers from the highest level might be interesting to know but whether they could transfer it into punditry or opinionated brain farts is random (Merson for example). Women hosting is seamless. Having a crush on Eilidh Barbour helps. That said Keegan's not said anything I disagree with.

Remember them getting caned 5-1 at Bayern I think the night we beat Barcelona. (only because it was on the same tape)

Aye. Feared for him after Sheffield Wed last year. Looked slow and a liability to be honest but he's stood up, never any question about his attitude tbf, and played really bloody well and really smartly. A bonus. Chuffed for him, he earned a moment like this like the rest of us after all the s**t.

What this bloke could do in a few more windows and without injuries. A 0-0 away from home and a thumping home win against two of the best teams in Europe is the classic stuff of experienced dab hands at European football. Wasn't even our best shot tonight. Was an absolute disgrace doubting this bloke and slagging off this team. They're a small fraction as good at their jobs at this club as Eddie and team are.

They've always been like that. They're a hooligan club. Marseille were fine when they were here at least. They (PSG) went on like that at Man City of all the places to superfluously act hard without cause. -
Since 1985, they've got less top flight wins, goals and points than Wimbledon. Who haven't even existed for 20years.

Know what you mean. I still get off my chair and shout obcenities at Cantona kicking and stamping on Albert, Shearer and Beardsley during the 5-0 whenever I watch it. Seem to get more outlandish and reprehensibly unpunished everytime.
-
Exactly. Same decision either way. Just one way is the way its always been and the other disrupts the game, risks sucking the life out of goals, costs more money and takes away human error because you cant have all that help available and still fuck up without being completely inept at your job or bent.
-
It always seems to be the sports-bar and carling type soft c*nts in any other era with these things and it seems prevelant at that level for some reason. Glad they've disgraced themselves for all to see. Sadly probably have plenty of mates and even family that think its great bants.

Don't and never could like Spurs, sometimes been just a filler though. Can't and never could stand Liverpool.
-
Were it not for the injuries just what you want in a game in the circumstance of a busy schedule like this and team changes. Job done, Relatively comfortably - other teams are always going to have a shot/sniff at some point - and on to the next. Heir to Tino stuff with Isak's miss.
-
Already Parsnipped/pretend it didn't happened Will just have to imagine the descent from 'Dummett, Lascelles Lol' 'that City team will hammer these' 'hawayah (oil money) City' to 'Pep's a disgrace for not playing a strong team', 'wont count if they do win it' and 'NUFC doesn't exit'

One more score for the recruitment division. Needed the players but balked at the price Southampton were haggling for, considering FFP, but they really wanted him. Fair to say they know what they're doing.
-
Knew it would be something like that, except was thinking Liverpool Scant reward for the efforts and in the end might have done everyone else a favour Did expect this season to be this generations 94/95 - Got one Manchester away after the other at home in the league-cup back then.

A slight weakening of our team given the relative squads is massive compared to them. No Trippier, Gordon, Botman, Schar, Bruno, Almiron is half our best XI. No Willock or Barnes to pad things out either. What team is going to boss any City side with 6 of their first choice out?
-
So our weakened team is second best to the weakened team of the best team in the world, a few days removed from winning 8-0 and half the teams shit again and the manager being questioned. Wonder if the roles were reversed how the players and manager would critique that level of support.
-
If we performed differently, i.e open and attacking to placate observers, then they'd be right to have no belief we could win. We obviously couldn't like that.
-
In other words... his team lost and the team he hates won dominantly

In the PL. Liverpool did in in 1989.
