  1. Next Villa game perhaps something like 'Sob on the Tyne' with our record against them underneath it Sob on the Tyne 2022/23 Lost 4-0 2021/22 Lost 1-0 2020/21 Drew 1-1 2019/20 Drew 1-1 2016/17 Lost 2-0 2015/16 Drew 1-1 2014/15 Lost 1-0 2013/14 Lost 1-0 2012/13 Drew 1-1 2011/12 Lost 2-1 2010/11 Lost 6-0 2008/09 Lost 2-0 2007/08 Drew 0-0 2006/07 Lost 3-1 2005/06 Drew 1-1 2004/05 Won 0-3 2003/04 Drew 1-1 2002/03 Drew 1-1 2001/02 Lost 3-0 2000/01 Lost 3-0 2000/01 Drew 1-1 1999/00 Won 0-1 1998/99 Lost 2-1 1997/98 Lost 1-0 1996/97 Lost 4-3 1995/96 Lost 1-0 1994/95 Lost 3-1 1993/94 Lost 5-1
  2. ...and Eilidh Barbour was glowing about us. If she's happy I'm happy.
  3. Burridge played at Blackpool in the FA Cup for Blyth 26years later too (4-3)
  4. I think we're interested in Mudryk and have an outside chance because a case can be made that we'd throw a lot at signing young players with a view to the future given our recent transfer market activity. Being more shrewd with older players to blend in with them. Happy enough with it just being plausible.
  5. Knowing that McKeag signed Pav, Clark, Elliott, Howey, Watson, Peacock and O'Brien ruined the best times I ever had as a fan under KK mind.
  6. Was on again tonight with a Sunderland based remark, cunningly throwing people off the scent.
  7. Getting a feeling that other clubs may try and replicate our tactics of pressing high and heavy now our successes are being highlighted and from the snippits flagged up on MOTD it looks like it. Think we've a manager that has a lot more than the ideas currently being highlighted in the locker though and can successfully change the style.
  8. Yes, I thought it had to be one of you guys but nobody was claiming responsibility or even mentioning it. Playing him at his own game, nice. He doesn't seem interested in football or sunderland (mind he's not interested in Ukraine or the world cup either as a great activist) so I'm not sure he'd listen to that show but it might have been a candid confession.

    Fabian Schär

A shame for me under the last owner was players that had something being wasted scraping by. Cabaye, Merino, Ba, Ben Arfa, Lejuene (if fit) and others could have slotted into good Newcastle teams and been assets and shone. Were getting a taste of that with Schar I'm glad to see.
  10. Scrap it and go back to still getting some decisions wrong but not waiting 5' to find it out.
  11. Fair enough. Was just going off what I could see. Tend to rely on that with a club down the road inflating attenandce figures.
  12. Would love to see that shit. Nice evesdropping on people talking nice about you.
  13. Something like that btw did you see the empty seats at Villa against Brentford.
  14. Its about the right size club for Emery. The elite level is beyond him. An improvement on what Villa had, relegation is off the table for sure now, depends what success is I suppose, but cant see them breaking into the top6/7 so not sure it will be deemed a success down the road.
  15. They've changed their tune. They used to whinge whenever we mentioned Net Spend.
  16. No. I hate asking for it and getting carried away, if its to a naff chant so much more so Re talking points for MNF, I'd rather stay under the radar
  17. I'm just happy with getting competent bodies back. They probably aren't but when I watch how hard our team and midfield work it just makes me feel they've got to be spent and would just feel better with an extra bit of rotation as opposed to an all hands on deck feeling.
  18. Definitely going to be harder without Gerrard mostly, the momentum from their win today will feed in but its balanced out by a bit of after the lord mayor's show/flash in the panedness (hopefully) plus the relative battle testedness of Spurs away and Brentford at home. Would have been worryingly comfortable about with Gerrard still there.
  19. Same. In the side, Witton Lane away bit. They were 2nd the year before far as we knew at the time it was our second hardest game. Was my birthday the day before. Played them away on my birthday the following season and the day before two years later. Come on fixture computer, sort yourself out. Won all three. So no complaints.
  20. all the time "Had some huge lump who supports sours come in my work last year, about 10 year older than me. I mentioned Bill Nicholson (their double winning manager in 69 I think and a legend for them lot) he looked at me like I was daft and said "never heard of the cxnut" I just shook me head and walked off."
  21. Yes. Feels like the Villa away result under KK first year in the PL. A real deal result, real deal performance.
  22. Would love to see that pop up around these parts sometime. Gives me warm fuzzy feeling and its actually true. Bloody hell its true.
  23. Conceded because we were going for the kill early doors second-half. That's the hill to die on like The effort man!!?1 humbling.
