Dunno He's got to be related to Count Von Count though

Was thinking exactly the same. Rosie, Des, Bob, Tony Francis, Steve Rider even Elton Welsby. Halcyon days of TV football presentationism. Cut above what's followed, though Welsby's smug pallyness would fit right in probably.
-
He's not good like but he's not long for this place so we've just got to get on with it with a limited squad. If Eddie cant get more out of him there's nothing there to squeeze out. Just use his pace and effort for what we can for the time being.

Don't think Beale should jump at Wolves. All he can do is maybe get them out of the relegation zone then maintain the parity they've had for a while. QPR have room for improvement where if he managed the same it'd be far more appreciated. If its proper top team okay but there'll be plenty of Wolves' down the road, he's pretty much already at one.

I read we were closer to the bottom than the top this week. Not taking into account so were the 14 teams below us. Also our points ratio if it continues wouldn't be very good at the end of the season....as oppose to the 14 teams below us?! They've no idea how demented they are

22, mind blowing, which itself is a big commentary and compliment

pfft and that c**t Klopps bleating on about no ceilings.

Was just what I expected of it, typical Everton game, so am totally placated by the victory. Plus you've got to be happy when the Bruce/Ashley era quota of players mounts up like it did 2nd half, with a win They were "Dogs of War" against the Entertainers side.

Home run, best defence in the league, doing well, Everton struggling I dont like the sound of any of that, football being football. Think it'll be like Palace/Bournemouth. -

The top team having lost 7 games out of 15 shite.
-
Standard stuff really. Were good and they're shite so its - back to 1992 where football didn't start Our attendances dominate theirs so its - back to 1978 and 1991 where we got some bad gates (relative to ourselves not them) they boo the knee out, we applaud it against Brentford a week ago so its - back to the 80s when racism was sadly common place at most grounds self defeating arguements if you have to go back 30-40years to defend yourself and pull down your rival
-
Really needed to use Franz Carr for that story since we'd had him for over a year by then but that would get in the way of a more sensationalist one. Cole got booed coming on as sub at Swindon by Swindon fans because he was former Bristol City player and they're rivals - he's probably going off that and either deliberately twisting it or its been twisted as the story was passed around mackem dive to mackem dive. This is where the "Kelly scored an own-goal to keep yiz up" (even a very reasonable mackem I worked with was lead to believe this) myths are made.

for the record: My season ticket in the East Stand (so obviously one of the more expensive) was £338 for 95/96. Manchester United's equivalent £342. Demand was massive. We were the only two clubs that sold out every game at the time.

Did a brilliant job. Got remunerated well for it. So? He had to turn the club around for that to happen. If he didn't the owners would have made less money whilst the club died a slow death. If somebody wants to come in and turn the club around for the better and make money for themselves doing it I'm all for it. Likewise with any business.

Never really known a professional operation here. Hall and co were great promoters and the job they did speaks for itself but it had a fun feel to it, this feels like Mr Burns fleet of ten high priced lawyers by comparison
-
Nowt against Carrick. Plenty against the cabbage patch kid. Typical melancholic Boro.

Was old, very old by Euro 2000 -
Was just thinking something similar going off the ASM injury story. How Woodgate was the best defender I've ever seen for us but seldom fit and in the end selling him was good business. Seeing the best defensive performances since his day in contemporary times. *robbed of a blatant pen in the last minute of that game too as I recall

Its hideous really but I do like the clubs of good players we've been linked to struggling at the moment.

Allan Saint-Maximin (now playing for Fenerbahce, on loan from Al-Ahli)
Wolfcastle replied to Disco's topic in Football
Not going to get a third of a season out of him. Certainly cannot make plans to have him be a feature in the team. Cant go forward on the assumption of ASM and Wilson being banked on. Their going to have to be thought of as squad players (which they are now anyway the amout they're both out for) and as a bonus if available but work on the assumption they wont be and strengthen their positions. -
