    The old days

https://www.themag.co.uk/2021/10/bat-and-eye-of-newt-david-batty-a-defence-newcastle-united/ even if i do say so myself
  2. The tickets were more expensive than Barcelona in the Champions League a few midweeks earlier. (Hull were bottom of the 4th division at the time). Kept the Hull ticket stub for that novelty reason and the Barcelona one for obvious reasons. Didn't matter, both sold out.
  3. Burnleys always looks like that to me. Their previous one was fine. Current one looks like an aborted editing effort on an early Pro-Evo on the original xbox. Ours is fine. Even the mackems agree about that. At least that is they completely ripped it off
  4. Remember Richard Littlecock in Viz?
  5. Fairly sure next to nobody turned up for Keegan's homecoming in 92 because it was a complete surprise and the middle of the day and if he means the other one, there was a match on. I think that bit is just genuinely crap at his job from a journalistic and bias standpoint. The rest crap at his job from a journalstic hired shill stand point. Pretty obsessive to make a piece about Gerrard going to Villa solely an anti-NUFC/Staveley piece. May as well shoe-horn us into the Radacanu piece while he's at it.
  6. I remember snow falling off it onto the front rows of the Leazes below against Sheffield United, was quite fun watching it coming from the East Stand (the game was long since won)
  7. Whenever it is, please film that signage coming down.
  8. Oh my days! (re the signage not the pornage) it endeth
  9. Usually that's been the case though. CL extension. Extended Euros. Europa League. New soulless identicit stadiums. ITV Digital. PPV matches. Offside rule changes. VAR. Championship/League One/League Two WTF FA Cup final moved from traditional time FA Cup early rounds spread over the weekend. Should have stuck at the backpass rule, two televised PL games a week, champions and runners up in the CL and Luxembourg being the only minnows in UEFA.
  10. That's exactly the one when I see the anti-NUFC bile from journos and rival fans. Otherwise more of a Harrison Ford jobby.
  11. A smile begins to curl just listening to Amanda and Howe and being proud and feeling flattered just to have professionalism here again.

Supports us. So like everyone else that does or people that are favourable and not-anti NUFC she has always been scum but now she's all in on terrorism and murder. Same as Dawn, Gabby Logan, Amanda and co, Jake Humphries, Henry Winter and of course the loathsome Honey Monster

All on Newcastle last i checked. Every single post. Gave him the benefit of the doubt and loaded up another page of 'more posts' to see if he ventured anywhere else. Nope. 100% all on Newcastle. Was a bit like seeing the first page of Jack Nicholson's typewriting in the Shining, then seeing it repeated on more pages and deciding to back away in terror to avoid having to deal with the thousands of other pages.

Its an outrage on there just for the local news to even cover things like the regions PL club getting new owners and a new manager. Its like they think a PL club should get 30seconds on Quest+1 at half past midnight like them.
  15. Kinnear effing and blinding then taking the squad for fish and chips in Whitley Bay esque
  16. Tend to think these are bad moves career wise- do well at a lower level (Championship/Scotland) and jump at the chance to manage a PL club you can't really do much better with than the previous guy. Always cite Ince leaving Wolves for Blackburn, was nothing to achieve there, was better off with Wolves for a few more years. Could have experienced everything required for Liverpool had he stayed at Rangers - title challenges from behind/infront, cup finals, two legged games, Europe. Been impressed with him but we'd have felt uncomfortable had we got him (he was just ahead of Lampard in last place in a poll wasn't he?), I'd have got behind him, big name, romantic but easier to see the upside when its someone elses experiment.
  17. Jeezus. Just read the rumours on the BBC. Half of them about us. Just linked with Ramsay, Coutinho, Sule and Dembele tomorrow. Not bad. Thems the best b*llshit links I've read at the same time since Sky regurgitated a report from a paper that Ashley was going to flex his muscles for Cannavaro and Ronaldinho

Not as meaningless as the Fairs Cup/UEFA Cup/Europa League apprently though. I don't believe it, though it does make me smile, all the more when I imagine what they must feel reading links, in one day, to Sule, Dembele, Ramsey and Coutinho. It made me feel a bit sick when it was Chelsea and Man City.

Had a look at the Exile c**ts posts the other day, clicked 'more' and still didn't see one that wasn't on the NUFC thread. So obsessed he doesn't have a clue how obsessed he is
  20. The best thing is that even if it doesn't work out, we don't know that for sure already. Including Rafa its as far back as Sir Bobby for forward thinking appointment that wasn't going to have both hands tied behind their back. Nice, professional, satisfied feeling washes over me. Very pleased, maybe more so, with the Emanalo talks re direction too.
  21. Yep 94 World Cup. Was involved against Italy somehow iirc, was he the one Zola got sent off for kicking?
  22. First time I'd experienced a comeback. Never knew it was possible for us. First time I'd felt that ecstacy Keep trying ID myself and a mate at the bottom of the gallowgate embracing after McGhee's winner but can never ID us for sure. Love how natural it was, like not knowing the protocol, but going mentl was the protocol in the sitiuations.
  23. Haven't heard that but like the sound of it, was just looking forward to the impending managerial annoucement and the answer to such questions about what ambitions they have because the silence (and problems getting a manager) have added a bit of concern.

Should have switched the game to Mansfield for financial reasons
