  1. Good game, good and much improved performance, unfortunate result - in both senses. Enjoyed in retrospect but was nervous throughout, not used to this after the melancholic coma style we've been in, take a while to get back up to speed if its like this in November, dreading/looking forward to the Norwich experience already. That transformation in one game is very impressive. Not seen anything as vivid since Roeder took over from Yozzer. Even KK and Rafa took a few games for their work to manifest.
  2. If we don't beat Norwich - 10 and will stop even worrying about it. Gap will be far too big by January to teams were not better than.
  3. Never rated him. Except for rating him better than Eliott. Which is like being the nicest guy in prison. Got the feeling he pleasantly surprised most of us saving Bruce's bacon so often last season, taking over the Dubs mantle, but was never convinced. We shouldn't have d!cked around giving people chances and he's clearly inferior to Dubs, didn't expect him to play but now he's shot his bolt he'll be out, two points down the drain too late probably.
  4. Do a View To A Kill scene on him over the Tyne Bridge (or Omar on Scarface, I'm not fussed)

The thumbs been handed the v's. Bollocks to him. He's lived higher on the hog than he had any right to or ability to or would have under any regime that wasn't operating this club as a skeletal scam. He's had a good ill-gotten run and he's been justly run out. I doubt he has any compunction so bollocks will I feel sorry for him. *If he slaughters Ashley in a book will revisit this. Course he wont. Cause Ashley's his only chance of a similar gig.
  6. Part of being a football fan. After 14years of melancholy so be it.
  7. Man City's owners could have bought us but they bought a similar product in Man City for a lot less than what Ashley wanted and with none of the d1cking around and disprespect. Reckon they must be hard up then.
  8. For practical purposes Batty, Woodgate, Shearer sorts us out comfortably. Though Tino, Albert and Ben Arfa for the personal fun of it
  9. These changes are like the achillies paradox. Everyone's changed so nothing has changed, everyone has the same chance of new manager bounce so nobody has the chance of new manager bounce. However I feel were the ones that have distinctly improved our situation - Gerrard will do well to do better than Smith before he can bring in his players and Smith will, i think, slightly improve Norwich but neither were lumbered with a lazy poor manager like we were.
  10. 5-6 sounds right. Supplementing the decent handful and borderlines. Ahhh, the plague of frogs
  11. Aye, we literally demanded they released the 1994 one which was initially meant only to be a one-off.
  12. Definitely looking forward to it though part of that is the fear of losing on such an occasion as can often happen. Would put my money on a 1-1 draw with an improved performance if I was into that sort of thing. Just feel a sting in the tail again, unless that was out the system with Spurs, about which I'd like the take my chances after an early goal. Fkn come on.
  13. 'distort the league' - we'd actually being making it less distorted by not being held back and being where we should be, where every other similar sized club is.
  14. That's what I thought. To avoid exposing that certain clubs who tried to stuff everyone by leaving the league are actually still running the league and dictating who can be bought and how competitive they're allowed to be, they Had to let it go through. Ironic and sweet justice really because I'm convinced if they'd got away with it, the effective blocking of a competitors takeover and rigging of their future by rivals - in a sport no less - would have been swept under the rug.

Direct quote on the boycotting Qatar 2022 thread, the sort of thing I knew we'd see in the mega-ton. "Should they have got it in the first place: No Have there been human rights issues: Of course Will I watch: Of course It’s done now, we are playing there, we have known for years, if we qualified we would. Will me watching affect any of this now: No Move on FFS" hmmmm. Were called nazi sympathisers on the NUFC thread for that and less.
  16. Would rather give him an 8year contract or one at Botev Plovdiv so he can achieve the onomatopoeia of managing a club that sounds like what he is.
  17. I'm not on twitter and not following this carry-on at all, and through that prism it looks like a massive pile of boring s**t not worth giving a fraction of stuff about and Wraith being Wraith.

Seen the 'Mags' on there were accused of obsession, saying its the equivalent of Man City fans going on Bolton's forum. Leaving aside the fact Man City and Bolton aren't local rivals, for the purposes of this arguement they've classified themselves correctly, until the next time they're one of the biggest clubs in the country again and far bigger than us of course. Speaking of obsessed and self-awareness, how many posts and pages on Steve Wraith? 10plus pages today?

A roof?! Stadium of Light Dome. Or SOLD for short. Might help if their tickets were SOLD out more than once in a generation for non NUFC games.
  20. Very good points raised there. Like buying a club, part of what your paying for is the potential, limiting potential is oxymornic, if this sponsorship makes them 99% more recognised than they are currently,it would be hard to reasonably argue with any price paid. Reasonable is not their game though.

Bad results. Everything that was great 2weeks after a penalty shoot-out win over QPR is now rubbish when actually nothing has changed. They're like infants. Win equals gud, loss equals bad, draaa equals a dint knaa. Consistently against Bruce and consistently behind Rafa to them would have altered drastically depending on the most recent result irrespective of performances.

So today we'd have been nazi sympathisers and that Adam Pearson is an outright peadophile now for creepily talking to kids on skype, you know, just the usual. Went on to see if there was anything about the Saudi's launching a womens football league, since they're experts and fully aware of everything that happens over there.
