  1. I wont but its utter madness. Like they wouldn't call for the sacking of a manager that had plummeted them from midtable to 2nd bottom, starting the season with 0 wins in 9 and invariably playing utterly shambolic football whilst being lazy and incapable of forming a relationship with the fans. If we can't ask for Bruce to be sacked, none of them c*nts can do the same until they're in an even worse situation. Bruce is being shielded more than Arsene Wenger - one the greatest managers in football history - was.
  2. Thanks and commission in the post for the idea I presume? You're welcome Wor Flags, by the way.
  3. Probably watched on as, having won the Champions League with one of the biggest clubs in the world, then played for Italy in the European Championships, Ravenelli signed for Middlesbrough a few months later that summer, joining, Brazilian international Juninho there. ffs its the only reason almost any of these players have ever come to England its not for the weather ffs
  4. Takes some doing though but. A regular bad manager would have won a handful of manager of the month awards at least in a 1000game career. It should define the concept "the exception that proves the rule"
  5. "I'm s**t and still haven't been sacked so neh-neh-neh-neh-neh" - Bruce
  6. Imagine how thick you have to be to be played by someone as thick as Bruce. Between them, those with Saudi flags and dress and Bruce remaining its become as cringey as exciting.
  7. I've been thinking that this week looking at our training ground because I was at Sunderland in 2000 and wondered 'is this any better than what we had'. Its not that much up on the Whitburn training ground. Embarrassed by it showing up in papers and pages of international newspapers. Was a few Newcastle lads there then.
  8. Yes it was a risk to bring in Sir Bobby when we were in the bottom three, I felt Dave Bassett or George Burley were our best best. Someone shit is just the ticket right now.
  9. Martinez would be like hiring Ossie Ardiles to replace Ossie Ardiles in 92 instead of Keegan in our current situation.
  10. Like hiring the cheapest clown with the worst reputation on trust pilot to provide the entertainment at a special occasion and expecting it not to end badly. Even if he scrapes by next week he'll get another gig on the strength of it, turn up lifting of tabs and drink, knick someone's watch and puke on the floor and you'll still have to pay him for his time. In football you can't even legally approach another manager until you sack the current manager.
  11. Problem is re the atmosphere/buzz its not just Bruce's presence its his football - all this excitement, motivation, venting and then after 25minutes were on 29% possession. Its just going to be diminished by his presence by a quarter or whatever. Its little more than just a shame romantically but theres the matter of his risking squandering more points and digging the trench even deeper - not inconsiderable. The deeper s**t were in, the less likely we are to attract the best manager and players possible when the times comes. Mid-table in Jan and asking around versus bottom three in Jan and asking around.
  12. Day off? So Bruce's efforts to keep his multi-million pound dream job and impress the new owners hasn't included working extra hard, overtime or being more professional but trying to pity blag them. Why change now eh?! Not even any talk of 'Newcastle have asked for permission to speak to X' - he'll be here for Spurs. You know you're a massive c**t when your mere presence puts a downer on this for tens of thousands of people

    Sunderland

There's been times when that has definitely not been the case. Remember me and my mates wanting them to beat Man United for the purposes of helping us with the title/champions league and because we hated Man United more (they were a threat/competitor) - wasn't going to matter to us if Sunderland stayed up or not. Hated Man United more and it was more intense because of what it meant then than ever have Sunderland. Don't think any derby game comes close to the Man United 96 atmosphere. Their scores are only relevant to me if were in the same fight or maybe wanting them to be relegated when they've been a division higher. In the 90s you'd hear their score coming out the ground before Hartlepool and Darlington's and if they lost there would be a 'wahey' and that was as far as it went. Blackburn were bigger rivals. *for context if my formative years had been under Ashley this would be different (would be like the mackems are) having nothing else to aim for.
  14. Also common for it not to happen. Hughton, Pearson, Carver in recent times alone. McDermott, Clarke, Carver again, Sugget before that took over the reigns after the manager was sacked here when being on their staff if not their right hand man. That's just us though.
  15. No good can come of keeping him around for me. Fly in the ointment of the occasion, will get Bruce out chants and stick if it doesn't go well, will be more awkward to bin if he flukes a win. To say nothing of letting an incompetent who would have been sacked at any club not owned by Mike Ashley already being allowed to dig the hole he got us in any deeper and provide further deterent to anybody we'd want.
  16. What if that was basically a 'good luck in your future endeavours' and he hasn't read between the lines? Be just like Bruce to turn up for work more after being sacked then he did before. Also he's so much ill-gotten cash he'll not know his wages haven't dropped. Be like that scene on JFK where a frustrated Costner/Amanda snaps at John Candy/Bruce for stuffing his face instead of reading the tone "Stop eating that crabmeat and listen"
  17. You can easily imagine him trying his modest harmless amicablebit of a stuck in the mud salt of the earth routine trying to blag that 1000th game in those discussions. His getting £8m really doesn't sit well but if he offered to renounce it in return for taking the game on balance I'd rather give him his ill-gotten games. So Bruce is worth £8m a game to keep away.
  18. In the second photo Stephanie McMahon is sitting two rows in front of them, the Vince rumours were true.
  19. I'd get fully get behind every manager we've been linked too with the exception of those two too. I'd get behind Lampard with reservations and just wouldn't believe in Gerrard at all. Don't dislike him in anyway, just isn't ready and we'd be a stepping stone. With Rafa and Poch off the table honestly, given the situation were in, Rodgers would be the man for me too. Could get us out of this and progress us up the next stages so no seat filler situation. Thinks its really 50/50 whether he would but it seems he was tempted by Arsenal recently and he's butting against a bit of a glass ceiling now.
  20. Well I'm engaged straight away - cant wait to will them on, excited and also a bit nervous. Has to be as long back as relegation at Villa since I last felt similar to this. I think Spurs will win, the pressure is off them now when they really had to be winning it before or else face scrutiny. Were the same disjointed struggling relegation fodder team as a week ago when they were white hot favourites. Happy to just to feel all that again though. Demanding deluded Geordie that i am.
  21. Lie in and a late start followed by a sharp lous, just a typical day in his million-pound salaried 'dream job' for Bruce. Lazy c**t
  22. That's probably why he keeps/has his job. Not even joking. Its a pre-requisite in his chosen field now. Modest career, thick and and knob. Whatever their faults a Trevor Brooking, Andy Gray, David Pleat wouldn't be considered now for being too sensible and not entertaining, click-bait controversial and dumbing down enough. (also non are from the north-west)
  23. https://richardajkeys.com/index.php/blog/299-privileged-private-confidential So just like every other club that's had a takeover then and just like the one we had before except a lot better for us. Agree with Poot above. Its more about - if you care that much about it that you think we should do something about it, you really ought to be doing something about it yourself is really what it is. I accept I don't care enough to research who invests in the products I may or may not use but that's not the same as saying I dont care about human rights and practices in whatever country it is and that applies equally across the board of their investment. Like saying you condoned Russian activities if you watched the World Cup, I bet that applied to nobody and I didn't apply it to anybody. There absolutely needs to be context for me. You cant just take every statement as an absolute "you're tall" and ending there instead of "yes to some but not to others" which is more accurate.
