  1. There were people on here slagging the performance and individual players off in the opening minutes before we went on to beat Sheffield United 8-0 if that's still accessible.
  2. Yeah, as above, Eddie's had a few little bad runs and I defended him on every one of them. Remember one such occasion weeks before the cup final (after Bournemouth iirc) I was defending him against people slagging him. We'd always came out of them before. Thought we might have this season but its not happening -its a season long run of form and performances like that. Think the whole motivation of the project being stalled as taken a few % out of everybody too.
  3. We played poorly under Keegan on extremely rare occasions but still acknowledged as much and it was fair cop to say 2000/01 was woeful under Sir Bobby. We've gone backwards distinctly in performances, results and enjoyment of football, as its February and has been the same all season its a reasonable to not be happy with things at least as reasonable to think everything's going to work out fine. That's the nature of being midtable surely.
  4. We should be better than we have been this season and especially this current run of form. Trying to salvage something out of these last two games should be well beneath us. That's more of a dig at the team than the criticism is.
  5. There's nobody else out there for us. But unless things have improved substantially by midway through next season we'll be getting one of those managers that's no better than Eddie regardless.
  6. Games completely gone man, its not like City are full tilt
  7. Games totally gone too, its the slackening off teams often do when 3-0 4-0 5-0 up (*or one up in our case)
  8. May as well start converting Wissa to centre-midfielder now
  9. Its not an automatic cop out because its Man City/Liverpool Were probably the worst opponent they've had their to date, Exeter aside, Wolves only lost 2-0 there and 2-1 at Liverpool. Were not good like, at our end, irrespective of the opponent.
  10. Wonder how many tickets they'll be sending back for this years final, to re-sell to Arsenal. Imagine a final where Arsenal fans are the least morose and unmotivated
  11. This cycle of the proect is well and truly over. Very big rebuild needed. Not just a GK, fullback and CM, that's treading water.
  12. Silage showing and occasion Would have been beaten comfortably anyway without the all to regular defensive dickishness, inability to score and general all round pap performance. So the chances aren't even any consolation because the persistence in wasting them clearly continues.
  13. Mackems did the same thing and its a once in a generation experience to them
  14. I'm quite happy with a cup win, a cup final and two Champions League qualifications in three years and would be if there were no PSR regulations holding us back. Couldn't ask any more of club or coach really. Don't really get the complaints about the overall things and bigger picture up to now, we weren't allowed to do a Man City Its just the future that's a concern, because of the PSR regulations. There seems little scope for improvement and that naturally gets frustrating.
  15. Seems to have been an inordinate amount of rotten games of football this miserable season
  16. Maybe Wood was good value in the modern way of thinking about it, in terms of the books, PSR etc. and in the old way of thinking he was a good old fashioned bad signing. We got our money back on Guivarch but we wouldn't say he was good value.
  17. Fully expected. Must admit, thought it would be the summer and not Racing Matra.2 but there you are.
  18. Unhappy but willing to give him more time: reason being though I expected us to go backwards were below where I thought we'd be, and performances throughout the season have averaged worse than anticipated (there were some excellent performances in the PL when last we were in the CL for example but no signs of that this season) so I've logically got to unhappy if I'm to stick to those expectations. That can change of course but performances don't suggest it will this season. Bigger picture, its pointless to look elsewhere as I consider us stuck were we are now and thus have provenly the best person for that scenario. Someone that can edge us occasionally into the CL and challenge in the cups. No more could be asked of any replacement so its not really worth doing.
  19. A cartel member fancies a player from one of the stronger farm territories so its time to release the unsettling tactics to keep that price down for the enabled big spending club against the already held back enough club. Love PSR.
  20. He's not going anywhere unless things carry on as they are well into next season at which point the natives will be restless.
  21. and we'd have less of that were allowed to spend than his other potential suitors
