  1. I'm horrified by that statement. Going to harrow me all day - the thought that for 5k we could have had Ashley done years ago.
  2. Drumville and Short financially doped and/or subsidised their last spell in the top division. You'd thinking living within your means would be the last thing they'd want as they're on a par with Norwich and West Brom for that but as long as it holds the Mags back, that's the most important thing.
  3. Be great if the shoot-outs already over by the time Ronaldo gets the last kick. He'll be gutted either way.
  4. Think Austria-Turkey (just mentioned) might buck the trend and be enjoyable
  5. Cripes. Tiredness a factor but that was guileless
  6. "tears for Portugal I'm sure, not for Ronaldo himself" - the five live comms just said there's no escape from it
  7. Willstill get to take the winning pen in the shoot out the c*nt
  8. So no point doing a 'least favourite player to play for' with Portugal in not-worthy-of-a-thread or does Sergio Concecaio pip him?
  9. Great game in 2000, will be absolute tedium in 2024
  10. Two woeful games today. Will never happen but 16 team format was clearly better.
  11. 10 probably would cost us Europe and ultimately one of the purples at least anyway. Galled at how skewered it all is - if psr doesn't make them sell then the points deduction will - canny scam that.
  12. Ticket prices going up almost everywhere, possible renaming of Old Trafford, transfer fees sky high - top work ffp/psr boffins
  13. I'll never forget Art Monk from a packet of NFL cards and gum bought it in the 80s. Sounded like the last person that would be into sport.
  14. Cant stand when England games are on. 30-45mins more today and subsequent cycles of this bullshit to follow. So close to having all the bullshit and biannual fandom over with for 2years
  15. Lucky bassas, been looking at me clock wondering how this c*nt wasn't over yet
  16. More bad, cold fallout from these rules is academies openly being seen as farms to fund spending rather than a route to that clubs first team which would negate having to spend.
  17. Its still a bit bitter sweet, guess it always is selling young local players, but i suppose needs must First goal against us next season would be one of those typical football things
  18. Imagine how bad it'd be if he played against good teams in these tournaments
  19. At least played against sides in thoaw tournamenta that Costa Rica aside were a lot better than they've played against here.
  20. Players are being treat like organ banks. Well paid of course but it still seems like a reverse of the intent of the Bosman rule.
  21. Their club was worth £32m when Metven and Donald bought it. The equivalent of a Newcastle reserve
  22. I used to do that on Multi Player Soccer Manager. Could manage 8 non-league teams and used some as farm clubs for others re their best players and to sell them players the top 2-3 clubs didn't need anymore, the lower ones go nowhere the ones at the top just go stronger. Glad real football could never be so absurd.
  23. I bet the FFP peddlers are hopping mad about this despite it achieving its purported goal of making sure clubs operate within their means and don't get into financial difficulty. Forest and Newcastle come to mutually agreeable transfer deal, like 99% of all previous transfers, this is an outrage.
  24. The whole league was specifically formed to further advantage the already advantaged clubs like his and has done nothing since they tried to create a Super League but bring in rules after rule to advantage them even more, but that's still not good enough. Its a disgrace yet I'd not be surprised if he was further indulged if anything.
