Newcastle United vs. Athletic Club: 5/11/25 @ 20:00 (TNT Sport)

how can folk not be up for this ffs -

We dont need a sing-along at the start of the game. Liverpool have YNWA but even they openly admit the atmosphere there is horrific thereafter. So what good would fixing, changing that even do? Having said that the horrifc dirge version of the Blaydon Races should be replaced forthwith.

Its a different opponent in a different competition. If we stayed the same for West Ham away tonight as West Ham away on Sunday then maybe. Its not an automatic choice or fix to change players as soon as they play badly. -

Wonder if some tabloid is going to make up stories about rioting and hooliganism like they did last time, as scenes like this were being filmed -
Well be active in the windows.

Forgot Southampton existed until just then. Was a bit of a treat

Was/am so down on PSR that I saw the league becomming a rigmarole where you know you cant win it if you weren't next to an empty chair when the music stopped and so the cups (including Europa, Conference), especially for the likes of us being as we can beat anybody on our day, being something to focus on instead. Didn't realise it'd be here so quick but there you are.

Will Osula: Goal vs Man United nominated for PL Goal of the Season
Wolfcastle replied to a topic in Football
He's not good. Never thought he was. Only causes things to happen via chaos theory not design. Superfluous 'tricks' were tragic enough at break at school. -
Obviously the right response from the manager, just fear there's not much you can do now given how hard it is to shift and sign players if relationships get strained.
-
I'm not basing it on age, or goal scoring, this is about overrated players, I thought he was and if he wasn't he'd have been the greatest player this country ever produced the way people were going on and it turns out he fell a long way short of that hype.

Out and out strikers aside, off the top of my head Beardsley is the only case I can think of where his stats (goals, assists) do mirror his overall ability and performances.

Was joint with legendary phenoms Chris Sutton and Dion Dublin as it happens. Andy Cole won it in his first season in the topflight and second proper season period, with twice as many goals. He wasn't lauded the way Owen was as a near second coming. Gazza and Rooney I could see it with because they were obviously gifted and not reliant on pace, said that was by far Owen's biggest asset and not really a football ability, and it didn't turn out far wrong.

They've had pretty reasonable start too - Fulham, Sunderland, Burnley, Leeds, Everton, Bournemouth, Brighton home. 2 points is dire haul.
-
Go on Carlisle and the heed.

Never got Darren Anderton at all. If Balotelli had no personality have been seen more clearly as a second-tier journeyman forward all of his career instead of belatedly. Michael Owen was monstrously overrated in his prime, they were desperate to put him in the fat Ronaldo echelon circa 98.

Think we might have had a better squad than Spurs in Division One under KK before we were in the PL Pav, Venison, Howey, Scott, Beresford, Lee, Sellars, Bracewell, Clark, Kelly/Cole, Peacock (Spurs bought the worst player in there a year later) Thorstvedt, Edinburgh, Cundy, Mabbutt, Austin, Anderton, Howells, Sedgely, Samways, Sheringham, Durie
