Just... scum

Prompted by the other, American owned, Prem teams no doubt. Laughable really considering the amount of money being chucked around by some of them!

Well... we are... awesome So proud, what a first game to a season
-
But Shearer scored 283 top flight goals, Kane's only scored 213. At 30 I can't see Kane scoring 71 more English top flight goals to beat Shearer... or are we only talking about Premiership goals? Bit skewed if so.

Don't suppose this is on the radio?

I've given up on reading about transfers already this window, the two I thought were pretty much nailed on have ended with the players going elsewhere and the rest of the stories seem to be pure guesses from the press. Until any new players are standing in St James with our shirt on I'm ignoring it all to avoid disappointment. Just hope we've strengthened enough to cover the extra games next season by the time the new season kicks off. ... now to enjoy my summer without distraction.

I'm still confused as to how they're getting past the FFP rules and still spending big money on transfers this window.
-
A thought just popped into my head - are loan deals subject to FFP? And would that be a route to get around it? I mean, if say an expensive, top player was bought by a rich Saudi club, then loaned out to a Premier League club, would that be an issue (other than the obviously dubious nature of it all of course)?

I know it's only a soccer seven tournament, but still. Ridiculous that a player in today's day and age is coming out with that sort of thing: https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/anton-ferdinand-west-ham-dallas-united-racism-b1085226.html

Everton, the Premier League's skidmark of a club... hate them, hate their fans, hate their victim complex city.
-
Would love to see Everton go down, purely on how they treated Rafa and the entitled outlook they seem to have of themselves. That said, I've never had a liking for them, stemming from seeing an Everton supporting school bully punching an autistic kid until the poor lad agreed to support Everton as well (yeah, I know, it's like 30+ years ago and not really that relevant ). THE only thing I like about Everton is Duncan Ferguson, so would perhaps feel a little sad for him... but not much.

Chelsea vs. Newcastle United: 28/05/23 @ 16:30 (No UK TV)

Oh yeah, don't get me wrong, I don't doubt that for a minute. I just meant I don't think it's a disaster if the players are already on their hols, I don't think the club (Eddie excluded) will be too bothered either way. -

I just think these sudden 'injuries' and changes to the first team to accommodate various absences, probably means the club isn't massively bothered about the outcome of the match. From a personal stand-point, yeah, it's always nice to annoy teams like Chelsea, especially with everything they've been involved in recently, but I'm not going to lose sleep if we just 'take part' today. We're looking at about £2m in prize money aren't we? So not going to make much difference on that front. -

Consistency without fuck-ups making me think 'here we go again', that's the dream! What a season, it'll be belting when it comes out on Amazon's All or Nothing series later in the year. -

Why is it that teams that have been playing rubbish and end up at the bottom end of the table always end up suddenly become able to keep us out when we get to play them?
