The same one that's always being made, especially in this thread. That the thousands of members on here (you'll know the exact number) aren't representative of our fanbase, but that the much smaller amount of people they personally know or have met are.

Agree on the house prices being daft as well. We lived in a 1 bedroom council flat that was absolutely lush and affordable, so we were able to save to buy a house on our street but they just weren't worth it for what you got like. We ended up moving to Wideopen, saving 60k and getting everything we wanted.

I largely agree in general like, but I only moved away recently and was on Percy Road near the b&bs that brought trouble with them that made WB pretty unique in that respect. Walking around there and around where B&Ms is was always dodgy. I had a couple of run ins, my dog was attacked and my lass completely avoided Esplanade. On the day I moved in someone burned down the church in the street along from me. I also once helped this bloke back from Hardy's Newsagents to his flat that brought me to tears by how squalid his living conditions were like, it was absolutely tragic. Agree that everywhere else has scrubbed up nicely though.

I lived there for years tbf, you have to admit the town centre's rank

Whitley Bay's class so long as you don't go into Whitley Bay

He's going to be entertaining for a while imo. Come back to me in a few years and I'll be bored and think he's shit.

Allan Saint-Maximin (now playing for Fenerbahce, on loan from Al-Ahli)

Ironically another player who leans on his goals and assists. ASM absolutely buys into Howe's tactics imo, it's self-evident. His injuries (and potentially his likeability according to some ITKs on here) are the only factors that mean I'd reluctantly let him go, not going to lie and say I think Barnes would be a big or exciting upgrade though. -

Got to love the argument that data doesn't mean all that much and then basing the absolute entirety of your argument on goals and assists with no regard for anything else. -
Unless the referees are birds I don't think there'll be a problem like.

Call me a conspiracy nut but I had a feeling that the non-NUFC player signings by Saudi clubs had a dual purpose. There's certainly now a decent list of clubs who are in no position to complain about any above value signings from Newcastle.

It honestly sounds like microplastics are speaking through the host they've infected.

£40m is insane, he was unbelievably bad last season. Glad to see the back of him as well, proper horrible dirty player.

In an ideal world eventually transfer windows will be time everyone takes off from needlessly obsessing over Newcastle and you all go out and enjoy your lives

There was a time when he was honestly the best ref in the league for a good few years imo. I want to say maybe 06 to 11, but don't hold me to it. Proper giant ego on him like and the high profile mistakes became more frequent.

These things always end up going the way of popular usage (band names for example sound wrong used as singular nouns) so it wouldn't surprise me for things like football teams to end up as 'are' rather than 'is', but 'is' is definitely the correct usage. If you said 'the players of Newcastle United' or 'the fans...' then are would be right, but Newcastle United on its own is technically a singular proper noun.
-
I've never known that to be an American convention like. Newcastle United is a singular proper noun.

My lass used to really fancy Lukaku. She certainly has a type.

That explains everything like.

Er no, I do mean Steven Fletcher. i.e in a family of Fletchers, like him, they're Steven...you know.
-
Similar to Clarke in some ways. Some very memorable errors overshadowing an otherwise very good defender.

I see your Tyldesley and raise you Steven 'Fletch' Fletcher
-
I dread to think what his life's like.

Don't say nasty things about LFEE's special boy
