That final would fuck you up like. No one's coming back from that.

Howe must really not rate Ben Foster then
  3. Nah that went in, I'm certain

Hahaha, mad. I hope we can rejuvinate him from the difficult emo phase he's in.
  5. 42 Luca Toni or Roy Makaay got me
  6. Love how one of mine is Totti or Shola
  7. That's a really good one. Would have been ridiculous, it wasn't like it was a lob either, he blasted it from a good 50 yards away.
  8. Dyer missing against Portsmouth or Birmingham, I can't remember, in 02/03 because he was too busy thinking about his celebration.
  9. This is a good one, because it was already as part of a famous win, but Batty's missed lob in the 5-0 against Man United. Probably our best move of the match, which included Ginola sending Gary Neville for a hot dog, by imo the man of the match and not long before Albert's chip. It could have been a 6-0 and Batty could have been a more well-known part of that match.
  10. I was just thinking about this when that match was brought up, probably played a part in my hatred for Chelsea
  11. Off the top of my head: Gazza vs Germany in Euro 96 Rashford's penalty last year Paul Kitson vs (I think) Forest in 94/95 stuck with me for ages after Shaka somehow not saving either of Fenton's tame finishes, including palming one of them into the net
  12. Boumsong against Liverpool is the one. He completely fluffed a fairly simple interception, lost the ball to Peter Crouch, who then turned him, Boumsong brought him down, gave away a penalty and was sent off. It capped off an already abysmal performance. Whatever stick Cacapa gets, his legs had just gone but by all accounts before that he was a very classy defender and a Lyon legend IIRC.
  13. IIRC In SBR's autobiography he says that they were planning to sign him
  14. This is cathartic after that bullshit match against us
  15. Wish our match against Liverpool had been at home and/or we'd had Bruno or ASM available.
  16. Napoli should probably be 4 up tbh
  17. Class. Liverpool are really shit at the back like it's unreal. Go Jomez getting caught again
  18. Van Dijk, my hero, limbos out of retirement and straight into my heart
  19. It's not even a slight exaggeration to say that VVD has been poor so far this season. Not just below his own standards, just poor.
  20. He goes straight on the shit list if he goes there. Instant cunt
  21. Souness was shite, but it's unbelievable how right he was in hindsight to have wanted Anelka and Boa Morte over Owen and Luque.
  22. It's the fans buying into it that gets to me the most. You'd think people would want to see teams upsetting the apple cart rather than being eager for its managers to jump on it and uphold the status quo.
  23. Of course it might be a bit mad to go to a club that's pissed off, ostracised, and sacked like 8 managers in the last 10 years. Especially when it means leaving one that you've been given the time, resources, and trust to flourish at for the last 3 years and you're sitting 4th in the table.
  24. Potter's stock is pretty high definitely, but he also seems to just be massively rated within the game regardless of that, I don't think that'll change too much if he stays at Brighton where he's been part of a successful mid to long term project where staff and players have been given time to improve. They fell off a bit at the tail end of last season and he's still really highly rated. I'm not saying he shouldn't take the 'big job' when it comes along, it's just that going to Chelsea specifically with its now now now set up just seems suicidal in terms of him being given the time and opportunity to fully reach his potential. Yes, his stock might remain high after Chelsea, purely because everyone knows what Chelsea are like, but that's not the type of environment I'd have thought Potter would even consider tbh.
  25. Their new owner looks like he's bringing in a more extreme version of the Chelsea model based on what he's done so far: choosing players himself, paying way over the odds, attempting to sign players with little rhyme or reason, sacking Tuchel early on.
