It helps their argument if they want to make it, but I personally think there even being an argument at all is a huge compliment to Ronaldo. All the goal stats are there, but none of them will ever override what I saw from Messi with Barcelona AND Argentina.
-
It means that we need to ignore our eyes and add another fact to the Ronaldo is better than Messi tossier
-
Can you honestly imagine how soul destroying it would be to end up with that relentless fucking whinge and his yesterday's man yawnfest football. Think my lass's dad would set fire to SJP tbh Never known anyone dislike a man and manager as much he hates Mourinho (including me and anyone on here hates Pardew or Bruce) and Howe was his number 1 choice and favourite manager.
-
Jenas was a spineless twat, but he's right about Newcastle being a goldfish bowl like. Can't even have a kick about in the back garden with your mate without some peeping tom creep climbing a roof and taking your photo
-
Man United 1-0 at home immediately springs to mind but not sure if that definitely was his best moment. Back end of the Championship season he was absolutely essential as well like.
-
It would be the worst thing the Saudis have ever done imo
-
I mean all of the people who hate him essentially memed him into making it his career like, of course he's at SJP, it's his full time day job now.
-
Fair enough. When you're saying Keegan and Robson's teams I'm thinking of the finished best XI tbh, that's why I'm saying neither get in and, apples and oranges but Cabaye wasn't better than Speed for me, definitely not.
-
I honestly don't get it like. How on earth would Demba Ba be getting in the Keegan or Robson teams?
-
Behind only Cabaye as the most overrated player of the Ashley era. He was quality, but there's some serious rose-tinted glasses with him among our fans imo.
-
Can't remember who it was, but whoever was saying that Ba was a better, more complete striker than Wilson is having a laugh like.
-
TG still talks shite a lot of the time tbh, particularly about Keegan. He's an interupter as well, which is a pet hate of mine anyway, but especially from podcasters. Still better than what he used to be, but I don't think you really gain anything new by watching him.
-
I don't think they bottled it, there wasn't anything particularly gutless about the way they play that I've seen from countless Arsenal teams before, but they definitely look like they've run out of steam, had key injuries at the worst time, and have been punished for not making the signings to mitigate for those things in January
-
I get what you're saying but at one point they were 4th, equal on points with 5th, with a better goal difference and 3 games in hand. Bottling it is too strong probably, but I think it's fair to say it was their's to lose. Still a good season for them, but also a missed opportunity to do even better.
-
He's just absolute dynamite, a genuine potential superstar. Immediately and comfortably on a level of midfield prowess for us that I've only previously seen from Rob Lee in the time I've been watching Newcastle.
-
Yeah Man City, West Ham, Aston Villa, and Burnley all regularly do varying versions of the '80s Cola Chewits colour scheme.
-
I honestly can't believe that it's ended up being Krafth that's stood in and shone. I didn't know loads about him, but from reading negative reviews of him on here, knowing how solid Manquillo has been in the past, and then him being class at Leeds away I thought it would have been him we'd be talking about as next season's obvious back up.

Matt Targett set to miss remainder of season with hamstring injury (Howe)
Kid Icarus replied to SUPERTOON's topic in Football
There's absolutely no chance I'd be letting this lad leave, no chance. Whoever else we might be looking at isn't going to be a dead cert in the way that Targett is. Left back is ticked off for at least next season for me and we'd be far better off looking to seriously strengthen other positions. -
Most improved team in Premier League history from 1st to 2nd half of the season. Unreal. Eddie's some boy like.
-
That performance epitomised everything about the improvements he's made. Comfortable on the ball, keeping possession, players grafting their arses off, always looking to attack, overlapping runs, movement on and off the ball, great fitness levels, confident, fighting until the end, defending together, recovery runs, everything. He's the absolute dude, love him as a manager
-
I always always fancy us against Arsenal at home. Same with Man United. And especially night time matches. It's the stopped clock being right twice a day of predictions.
-
Very happy to say that I thought the same. Didn't think we'd completely dominate it in the way that we did though, so that was class to see.

Gayle was too selfless there.
