  1. Not in the context of Real Madrid being the alternative, no. PSG don't have the DNA (cringe, I know) for winning the CL that Real Madrid and even other clubs have and if we're talking about bottlers, they're the prime example in recent years. It's moot anyway because even he just wants to move, but doesn't in favour of the money, he's still sacrificing his ambition to some extent.
  2. I don't disagree with what you're saying really. My post was in response to one saying that players will always take the money and that it's no different to any other job, which isn't at all accurate. In Mbappe's situation, following his ambition, reaching his potential, and having a real chance of winning the Champions League would be the quality of life. Sacrificing that even for a couple of years is still a quality of life sacrifice, albeit the most luxurious and privileged sacrifice imaginable.
  3. No issue with anyone understanding or sympathising with the initial reason it was founded tbh. Anything beyond that point or any condoning is when it's fucked up.
  4. It looks in all the way from every angle even now. Can't believe it didn't even hit the post.
  5. Considering my views on the ownership, not really.
  6. Is that A-ha!? https://youtu.be/J4aD_dZzYpI
  7. From back when Squires used to let his drawing do the talking and was much better for it.
  8. I'd fucking hate to have to be associated with all that shit and people like that knacker who asked Scott Brown how his sister is. My ex-boss is a Rangers fan and a really sound bloke, so I'm just a bit gutted for him like.
  9. Same with Celtic too or are Rangers' lot noticeably worse?
  10. Thought Rangers were the better team by quite a margin, but when that chance didn't go in at the death it felt ominous I thought. Ramsay's penalty was absolutely shocking like.

I remember you saying that the last time he was brought up. It sounds like in your mind's eye you think of him as Ziggy from The Wire.
  12. Do you honestly think that people flat out don't take pay cuts? I can't answer for Sewelley, but I can answer with a yes for myself and I know plenty of people who've done the same. That's before getting onto things like parents taking 0.8 contracts so they can spend time with their children, which they unsurprisingly value more than money.
  13. People take pay cuts for quality of life reasons all the time.
  14. It says that he's either more interested in money than success, or views money as success. Wouldn't begrudge him, but it's still the reality.

They were definitely doing a bit about Bruce tbf. Pete for all of his increasingly bizarre takes knew fine well that Bruce was shit. Saying that, he (and the Ramble in total) has got worse over the years. Don't think it's anything to do with where he's from or where he lives though, he's just seems like he's lost interest and definitely isn't comfortable with the ownership, but is still doing the show because it's his job.
  16. Definitely no exaggeration to say that the only match he's really struggled in was when he was up against Sterling at Man City away, which is fine. Every other match he's been a 7/10 in total and more or less 9 or 10/10 if you just look at the defensive side of his game.
  17. It helps their argument if they want to make it, but I personally think there even being an argument at all is a huge compliment to Ronaldo. All the goal stats are there, but none of them will ever override what I saw from Messi with Barcelona AND Argentina.
  18. It means that we need to ignore our eyes and add another fact to the Ronaldo is better than Messi tossier
  19. Can you honestly imagine how soul destroying it would be to end up with that relentless fucking whinge and his yesterday's man yawnfest football. Think my lass's dad would set fire to SJP tbh Never known anyone dislike a man and manager as much he hates Mourinho (including me and anyone on here hates Pardew or Bruce) and Howe was his number 1 choice and favourite manager.
  20. Jenas was a spineless twat, but he's right about Newcastle being a goldfish bowl like. Can't even have a kick about in the back garden with your mate without some peeping tom creep climbing a roof and taking your photo
  21. Man United 1-0 at home immediately springs to mind but not sure if that definitely was his best moment. Back end of the Championship season he was absolutely essential as well like.
  22. It would be the worst thing the Saudis have ever done imo
  23. I mean all of the people who hate him essentially memed him into making it his career like, of course he's at SJP, it's his full time day job now.
