For me, he’s earned a bit of leeway this year. Last year was immense but this year there’s definitely some legitimate questions about his selection policy and in game management. We don’t see the inner goings on on the training pitch but we do see what happens on a Saturday - and it’s happening time and time and time again. I love Eddie but I can’t shake the feeling that there’s something of “Southgate” about him where he picks his mates and is far too slow or afraid to change things when it’s clearly not working. Summer will be interesting, we obviously need a striker, a proper left back and a backup center half. If he gets them then there’s zero excuses to persevere with the same mediocre players - Burn and Almiron being chief suspects. I hope it clicks for him and he proves mine and others doubts to be false but I’m slightly worried, not gunna lie.

Gunna say it and take the flack for it, this season is gunna be a mid season write off. Injuries have fucked us, totally messed with our ability to field a team plus a decent bench. The end result being we’ve folded in the last 10 mins and conceded. Next year with Tonali and Barnes back will be a totally different scenario. Chances are it’ll be without the burden of European football as well.

We don’t have the ability to sign a moderately skilled in form striker from a lower to mid level premier league team. FFP, brilliant ain’t it?

Been painfully obvious to us laymen that Burn and Almirons limitations have started to impact directly on results. Livramento should be playing as a starter, simple as that, dunno why he’s been dropped the last few games. Amazing what’s happened when he’s come on though. If January comes and goes and we haven’t strengthened then I’ll be very worried and wary of our future under Eddie.

According to the Swedish Rumble twitter account the minimum punishment he can expect from the Italian FA is a three year ban if found guilty. How that would migrate over to him playing in England, I haven’t a clue. But this doesn’t look good. Apparently there’s a group of Italians who have been at it for ages and this story broke as part of a v dodgy paparazzo’s revenge on Italian football. He’s since gone missing.
