Think we’re in for a classic borefest. Howes faith in Wissa/Woltemade is clearly absolutely none existent. Piss poor considering the money spent on them both. -

Imagine if Eddie and the lads fluff their lines here? Craig Hope and the rest of the doom perverts will produce enough jizz to fill an Olympic pool man. -
Kieran Trippier: to join Wolves on a free (various)

All good things must end. Amazing player when he first came - start of the transformation and led the way in terms of a higher calibre of player stepping through the door. -
It don’t look good. looking at it from Howes perspective though - he probably knows he’s in for a shitter of a summer. Most of the old guard and main dressing room characters are going to have to be moved on as well as a couple of our “stars” if the media is to be believed. He’s not just got to rebuild us tactically, he’s got to rebuild the dressing room morale, get the right bods in to create a positive atmosphere. Can he be arsed? Especially given the budget ain’t as big as we have been led to believe. It’s a bit of a perfect storm.

Big decisions needed from the board this summer. If it goes one way we basically become Brighton, another and they show if they have any genuine ambition for us
-
If we sell him to a premier league team for less than £90m I’ll be fucked off
-
A couple of key players missing but fuck me - that’s why we have a squad. The simple fact is is that we’ve been badly let down by his hand picked summer targets this year. It hasn’t worked and that’s 100% on him. His in game management has very much been the tail wagging the dog - always reacting to us turning to rat shit rather than make a tweak when we are on top to keep the other side guessing. His favourites are also well passed their sell by date. I hate to say it but he’s had a fucking awful season on so many levels that have fallen short of his own high standards.

Zero heart or belief and Eddie has shit the bed. PIF need a serious fuckin rethink of what they’re doing with us because this half in half out approach isn’t doing fuck all. Players still see us as a stepping stone seemingly, no movement on any project to take us to the next level and they’ve got zero clue now they can’t just open their wallet to solve the problem. Fucking shite all ways this year

Chelsea 0-1 Newcastle United (14/03/26) | post-match huddle pg. 30

When I was 14 I found myself at my much older cousins house party. A few tins of stella and I took myself off for a little wander round the house where all manner of messing about was going on - I opened door number one to find four lads absolutely hanging out the back of this lass who was clearly loving every minute of it. I didnt know my arsehole from my japs eye and just froze in space at what was transpiring in front of me. It’s the most awkward and out of place anyone has ever been ever. until Nick Woltemade started tonight. -
God bless him, he don’t even know the question let alone the answer.

It’s got all the ingredients there for a very very bad day at the office. Shite home form, resurgent Man United, players with the shits, pressure to get a result, players going missing in big games. We could be at the end of a royal butt fucking. -
Fucking bunch of slags to a man. We deserve fuck all this year.

Will Osula: Goal vs Man United nominated for PL Goal of the Season

He was effective yesterday but he’s not anywhere near the level and consistency we need. The sort of striker who would probably tear trees up in Germany or France. -
He’s a strange lad. Love him as a player when he’s on form - probably the best engine of any player ive ever seen wearing the shirt - but emotionally he’s always been a bit distant hasn’t he? I get that everyone is different and not everyone wears their heart on their sleeve like Bruno but if he was to turn around in summer and tell us all he’s leaving then I really wouldn’t be surprised. That being said I think there was a fair bit in that moment with Eddie last night - relief on both sides. He might stay, he might go - I’ve enjoyed him immensely whilst he’s been here but if we can get big money for him and actually invest wisely I won’t be beside myself.

I’d say that game needs looking into badly. We’ve all had a shitter at work but that’s the football equivalent of serving the nut allergy bloke a chicken satay. Twice. Then again, what’s even the point of complaining? The FA will just mark their own homework, stick the ref and his team in league one for a month and there’ll be no actual punishment for a shite performance.
-
We’ve seen what the top 6 do when we identify a player. We won’t be allowed to sign any quality replacements.
-
Club needed a real injection of positivity this week. This wasn’t it.
-
Have we come on leaps and bounds since the takeover? Yes we have no question. But let’s face it - anybody could have done a better job than Ashley. It wasn’t hard to score a few easy wins, invest in the squad and get us further up the pecking order. Are we anywhere near their stated target of consistently challenging? No we aren’t. We’ve been hampered at every turn by the league and the cartel but there’s so many things that have been pretty easy fixes that have just stalled. Training ground/complex chief amongst them. It took an age to get a proper CEO in place and the merry go round of sporting directors have all seen the clubs progress just stop dead in some aspects. Decisions that need to be made quickly just aren’t as they travel through umpteen levels of bureaucracy and too much has been on the toes of Howe, who, let’s face it - has shit the bed a little bit this last transfer window. We seem to be stuck in a bit of a rut at the moment, unable to progress through genuine attempts to stifle our growth from the league and shooting ourselves in the foot with too many people having an influence over key decisions and nothing being streamlined.
-
Maybe having a bit of a reset like Villa did when they didn’t qualify
-
I just think there was a lot of assumptions made in this transfer window. Especially with Wissa and Elanga - that they would just slot seamlessly in a new team and do much the same role they did previously. The more I look at Elanga the more I’m convinced he was just on a purple patch at Forest. He’s gunna be the biggest waste of money - bought to compliment a player who ended up fucking us off anyway. Thiaw is very decent, can’t really fault him bar his horror show where he was subbed at halftime. Woltemade - definitely square peg in a round hole but there’s 100% a player there - we just need to know how to utilise him. There needs to be a serious rethink in the summer.
