Lewis Miley: signs six-year contract extension (Official)
Coffee_Johnny replied to Ronson333's topic in Football
Keep saying this, but really reminds me of a young Waddler (running/gait wise not skill set). -
Would have loved Palmer. Not very often a young English player with his potential becomes available.
-
Good words and hard earned wisdom. Keep on keeping on bonny lad.
-
Well, given the wall of red in front of him, he had a roll back to the edge of the box (which would have been the better option) but hardly a massive range of options.
-
At this point a public apology from Barnes as conspiracy theories about his glass foot seem more indicated!
-
He was exceptional as a young player.

My local in Felling used to regularly open very early for away games. The landlord arranged the bus and aperitifs and no doubt the benefits compensated for the risks ! -
-
Recall him being a great long passer too. Would be fab to add this to the Schar and Tripps defence cutting cross field balls.

I’d be happy with that. Particularly fancy Miggy to get some joy. Plus, had a horrible thought that Tino might come a cropper like Pistone… random I know, but doubt Burny will be as vulnerable! -

Well I’d like to say good luck, but I obviously wouldn’t mean it! -
Hard enough to control a ball like that on your chest whilst running, almost impossible when off balance, having your (would be) standing leg taken away.

Good time to play us, Teddy, given run of form and injuries, but I do think there were signs last night of a turn around. There will be a hell of an atmosphere anyway. Are you going? -

Enough from tonight, in terms of some individual performances and a general lingering sense of injustice (e.g. Liverpool breaking away and scoring when we should have had a pela and their second dubious penalty) to put extra fire in the teams’ belly and make me look forward to this next match. Et tu Brute?

We’re supposing sniffing around a Chelsea player. People, given previous interest, assuming it is Gallagher. Personally, I think it might be Murdryk.
-
Steve Watson had a good career, but I think was held back somewhat (paradoxically) by how flexible he was positionally. But I thought him and Alan Thompson (hampered somewhat by a bad car crash) would go on to be the best homegrown talent of their generation/consistent internationals.

Jon Dahl Tomasson achieved his potential, I think, despite looking woeful at times with us.

Every fecker seems to break their bad runs against us—gives me the hee-bee-jee-bees whenever it is mentioned prematch—maybe it is our turn. -
Didn’t spring immediately to my mind either! How soon we forget.
-
I have a sneaky suspicion he’ll up up with us at some point. Maybe he’ll reach his potential then.
-
Should be above Spurs (on points per game). Actually, we’d still be behind Brighton.
-
Rolando Aarons. Thought he had it all. Saw him against Bradford away (preseason maybe?) and he looked unplayable. Kevin Mbabu after seeing him pop Sterling in his pocket at The City of Manchester Stadium (think it was still called that at the time).

Last two games against these, not great results but some great football, by both teams. I feel like we owe them one and winning there against the odds denting their pole position title aspirations would be a hell of a way to pay back in kind.
