Not sure that helps on the ol’ befuddlement front Loki Lad! pssst! Are you a secret agent?

I’m geographically befuddled, is that Libya or Longbenton?

Gateshead international stadium holds about 12,000. Just bang up a couple of stands. Two metro stops from Central, or an easy walk/can hit the town with a catapult. Perhaps our women’s team and/or reserves can play there as they get bigger crowds.

Had my haircut by an ardent, home and away, Liverpool fan recently. Who, to my great amusement, kept calling his favourite player Jordy. Bet Henderson loves that if they are all at it!

I doubt your Ashley-Animosity burned any brighter than mine, but Shola—and Jamaal—have been phenomenal servants to this club and both have got a pass from me.

See how that idea holds up when and if there’s a critical moment in a tense World Cup final. One North East, One England

Bugger! Bloody Xmas party clash. Might have to have to deal with some ‘urgent work’.

James Maddison (now playing for Tottenham Hotspur)

I’m not so certain. Holders of our purse strings/strategy must be excited and eager to achieve, this season, the kind of progression probably originally envisaged for a couple of season’s time. For the player himself, we are a different prospect now. I’m sure he’d rather be battling for one of the top spots than enduring the frustration of mid-table mediocrity. -
Ab-so-fucking-lutely.

All wondrous walks of life are here.

Yep, would be good for him, no doubt. But secretly hope he rips everyone apart in training and gets straight into the first team.

That’s great to watch ?

Had similar thoughts. Class is permanent though.

Fantastic montage.

Imagine if we’d pushed the boat out for that additional marquee signing midfielder… . Might have held on to win that City game, may have seen out the draw at Anfield, almost certainly would have beaten Palace, perhaps Bournemouth as well, at home. Additional 5-7 points would have been (even more) mind-blowingly nice!

Wonder if our boy is getting pelters in Brazillian press? I didn’t watch closely but despite seeing a fair bit of the ball nothing seemed to come off for him, and caught sight of a despairing (embarrassed?) look as he lay face down on the turf at the end.

Plans change. We have a bigger potential fanbase than Man City, for example, who despite the incredible success in recent years, are probably in the right sized ground/still struggle to fill it at times (don’t think the location/transport helps fwiw). If, catch me if I swoon, we had anything like that level of success, it would be back to the frustrating inaccessibility of the height of the Keegan era. Having thousands on the waiting list for season tickets and losing the flexibility of selling champions league tickets/packages to ‘occasional’ out of area newbie fans will change corporate minds. Also, I love SJP. Can’t describe, in my now occasional visitor status, how much of a sense of homecoming and connection to people and times of my past I get from visiting. But the idea that it is our home and we can’t have that feeling unless it is on that patch of ground doesn’t make sense to me. It’s a bit like Trigger’s broom from Only Fools and Horses, I.e. it isn’t really the same and bears little resemblance to the SJP of my youth. Something like Spurs’s stadium, relatively close to the city centre would be absolutely amazing—should we actually get to the point were we need it.
