  1. That hug between Ferdinand and Shearer… miss those guys. Heard Sir Les interviewed recently jokingly talking about how it felt to be part of such a fearsome partnership. He said (something like): ‘At kick-off me and Alan would sometimes say, “Shall we go and terrorise this lot today?” ”Yes, shall we?”’
  2. What’s ganning on with Leeds man! My predictions this week are all over the place!
  3. Yep, last season in the league they drew home and away to Southampton, away to Palace, away to West Ham, home and away to Liverpool. Lost to Spurs home and away, lost to Palace at home. We’ll gloss over the rest. But if Palace and Southampton can do it… who knows!
  4. With Kante out, can’t see them letting him/anyone else in the CM mix go on loan.
  5. Yep, it’s a possibility tomorrow. Hope he keeps his powder dry until we’re three up ?
  6. Can’t help thinking Salah will torture ManU. As far as I can work out he’s scored 7 in 9 against them in the league. (Apols if jinksed him!)
  7. The name checking of Miggy as an exceptional player made me smile!
  8. Who has bet on Joelinton for first red of season??
  9. Reassuring that new targets are still coming to light at stage.
  10. You say it like it’s a bad thing ?‍♂️
  11. And we’ll all live to regret the sweetest tasting 5 points of the prediction season! (…sorry, I appear to have let the side down.)
  12. A fully explained apology, on a very large bedsheet. Sneak it in to the Wor Flags display. Only right, proportionate, and not weird at all. That’ll learn ya!
  13. There’s obviously a vast mid-ground between defending the KSA’s regime (‘apologist’) and walking away (or ‘sanctimonious twat) positions.
  14. Perhaps Champions League? Not just their next game (23rd?) but our current, and likely future, non-involvement.
  15. Save it for the League winning season. Better TV innit ?
  16. I think that’s fair, but there is only so long the ‘we are Manchester United’ expectation/entitlement-filled narrative is going to ring true. You’re only as good as your last season. Their 58 points last year is their worst haul in 30 years in the Premier League. Though they did once finish 7th— in 2013-14, albeit with more points.
  17. Listening to his press conference. He’s so likeable, professional and balanced. A real credit to himself and the club. Can’t think of anyone else I would prefer as our current manager. Let’s hope we/‘the powers that be’ give him the same platform to fulfil his dreams that he hopes we’ll give Bruno.
  18. Acknowledging my limited knowledge of world football, but in terms of players I have seen a lot of I would put Shelvey in the same bracket as Paul Scholes who, although he wasn’t reliant on this part of his all round first class game, was incredibly accurate with long passes.
