  1. How about: Pope Trippier Schar Botman Targett Bruno Joelinton Gallagher Pedro ASM Isak (Fluid, interchangeable, midfield three) Even more positive!
  2. Remarkably consistent, with long periods of being an amazing side. Last season was lowest ever (Prem) points tally for you. If than kind of form continues, particularly if you fall below top six this year, it’ll no doubt feel like a relegation for many.
  3. Just pretend to, whilst staying hyperalert for any signs of a Romano-Edwards debate gathering traction ?
  4. Same here, C. He was also second in my early summer ‘premature appreciation’ list of strikers. Delighted to have him for what he can contribute to the team. Also think he’s going to a delight to watch at times. Good all round footballer.
  5. If our away fans sing it at usual 78rpm speed, reckon it would sound like Winston Churchill’s ghost saying ‘Euurrropppee’.
  6. With Kante injured we’ve no chance of getting Gallagher on loan… ?
  7. Paqueta is moving! Is he slow or fast, still to be determined. Exciting!!!
  8. Never been happier to be wrong! Get in!!!
  9. If you look at other clubs’ ‘origins’, Manchester United, for example, wasn’t called that until 1902. They didn’t start playing at Old Trafford until 1910. They still claim that they were formed in 1878. Even though Newton Heath FC, originally formed by workers from the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway went bankrupt prior to the re-investment from local businesses in 1902, which led to the Man Utd we all know and love… . Key thing for me isn’t name or ground, or even temporary closure, but continuity in playing and coaching staff and the bric a brac associated with the club. We, Newcastle United, weren’t an extension of West End we were an amalgamation of two teams with their own histories. So, on this line of thinking, NUFC started in 1892.

Crossed my mind too. May need the up front spend elsewhere.
  11. Let’s hope he thinks in a more balanced way at work then.

When’s the Davina summary coming up? Waiting for a long lost family type finish to this random tale. He’s Joao Pedro’s cousin and has always been NUFC obsessed??
  14. ‘Kin hell man… . The time potentially matters/gives an indication of where they are at re the whole no deal until after the game on the 23rd statement.
  15. If they are willing to sell and if he would come to us, I think Ramos is the obvious affordable choice (Osimhen and Isak are I fear just not affordable for us) at this point. In terms of team harmony, Wilson can’t grumble too much if he is out for a while.
  16. I get that with a good all round squad, players on the bench will also be collecting points, but feel your frustration. It’s a pisser when the subs do better than those playing.
  17. Played last night (Ramos). They win 3-0. He was one of the players subbed, not sure when.
  18. I see Ramos played (was subbed at some point) in Benfica’s 3-0 win over Kyiv tonight.
