Got to have one eye on us, when he knows he’s wanted. We haven’t done the recruitment drive any harm at all with our decent start to the season.

Did you ever, with pervy aforethought, introduce your lass to Coloccini? Just exploring a theory… ?

Might be a fair bit of Punking Paqueta going on in our dressing room this season (note to the overexcited: no ‘S’ there!)

There will be some great games/atmospheres in that group.

I was jumping to a different conclusion. A complicated double dipping magpie swoop for the new Rob Lee and an entitled American from Chelsea.

Was just about to type a false memory from ye olde away trips (…I think it’s false, Doc is defo right) that it sometimes tagged onto An N and an E and woubleyew (!) C… .

He’s chucked the dummy. Thought he looked a miserable git preseason. Doubt it will prove a good decision for him, particularly if something goes awry with Pope (form or injury). -
Shame both him and Murphy have blown important opportunities to show their worth. Neither looking like keepers, though suspect Sean still has a bit of a chance to change minds.

Wonder if that’s how the audience, after the audience with ASM, went? Pure speculation—but so what/that’s what we mainly do here—but can’t help thinking if his presence for such a good performance against UAE Citeh, and how beguiling the whole SJP on a good day vibe can be, was in some way linked to the purse strings being opened? Alongside threat of losing our only reliable goal scoring striker, maybe led to a courage and hope, over patience and slow build, approach to improving the team. Here’s hoping we have more of the same. Paqueta is available, go get him Dan!

Personally, I wouldn’t write him off character wise, as say ‘a coward’, the things you don’t like about his game are things that improve with the right kind of coaching/relationship, feeling psychologically safe and valued. He must have a lot of positive attributes and technical ability to have made through the system he developed within. If Howe fancies him as a potential asset, I’m fine with it.
