  1. I find myself in a ‘he can push all he wants’ frame of mind today. Appreciate if we can improve even more by letting him go, then that is the right thing to do. But still can’t get past the reality of a flat no and assertive telling him what we expect from him feeling right. What ‘power’ does he really have? Is he really going to cut his nose off to spite his face? Have a shit season? Not really try? Can’t see it. Unless he is colossally stupid and self-defeating.
  2. This is a refreshingly straight forward emotion- and speculation-free understated post.
  3. About €5m in it from memory. If our add ons were up front then think the figures match.
  4. Pretty sure we can afford to keep both. We had a healthy balance pre sales this summer and with three year accounting period selling Isak or a.n.other next summer should see us right.
  5. I like that he’s known as Wiss. Come join the party!
  6. Who said they were out? Would only act if we approached them? Hope it was this Cinghiale Cum guzzler.
  7. Pretty standard stuff when more than one club are still interested. He and Leipzig are obviously going to want the best possible deal. No reason to expect either to snap our hands off just because it is Newcastle United. Which does not necessarily mean he/they would prefer Man Utd.
  8. Did his mother hang out with Newcastle Eagles by any chance?
  9. Well in all likelihood he has a fifty percent chance of being right. I actually don’t think we need to (financially). Having them both for a season would be ok (financially) assuming we sell big (probs Isak, but at this point nothing would surprise me) next summer. Having them both football wise would be like a Shearer and Ferdinand flashback. “Shall we do out and destroy them today, Ben?” “Yes, we shall, Alex”. They’ll make the call based on a range of things primarily, I think, and assuming selling him for an acceptable amount becomes an option, the good of the team. If we could only buy quality in CB and CM positions by selling him and bringing in a cheaper option like Wissa then I think that would be, on the whole, the best bet for the club. If we could still sign quality in CB and CM and keep Isak (risk him going to shit or getting crocked—yes I do mean in training) then even better. Barca can have him next summer for £130, 000, 000.
  10. “I’m coming home Newcastle, you can keep your London wine. I’d walk the streets all day all nite, for an Um Bongo by the River Tyne” (they drink it in the Congo… cultural fusion right there 😉).
  11. I’m not the most astute football tactician but not sure that is quite how it works.
  12. He shows up, in the right way, and we’ll get right behind him. It is what we do.
  13. ☝️ is he actually linked to manure? If so my confidence that we have secured Šeško has just rocketed.
  14. Double fuck it… Next year’s training games. Isak Šeško Gordon Bruno Tonali Elanga Hall Botman Scalvini Livramento Ramsdale Wissa Osula Joelinton Gallagher Willock Barnes Burn Schar Krafth Tripper Pope Let them fight for places!
  15. Guivarch. And he didn’t perform well (from memory). Did win the world cup though.

    Joe Willock

Tonali, Bruno, Joelinton, Gallagher, Miley. For two or three positions. I’d be happy with that. The presence of Elanga, Gordon, and Barnes could lead to four across the middle with two (yes please) strikers in a 4-4-2. Or with one striker (please God) and five at back.
  17. Let’s just continue the Super Mac meme… 🎵 Super Shess… Super Shess… 🎵 repeat ad nauseam (which is probs twice, especially if you don’t want to develop a lisp).
  18. Don’t believe everything you read. Or see 😂
