He’s looked really good preseason and no doubt in training, so unsurprising that he gets first dibs on the starting position.

And who knows how good he would look in our system. Sometimes the added lustre of being relied upon, your team playing to your strengths is all it needs for a striker to pop out of the pack of journeymen to position of master, e.g. someone who gets 4 goals in 35 games for one team and 34 in 67 for another finishing joint second top scorer in probably the toughest league in the world (yes I do mean Chris Wood).
