Could see the writing on the wall while it was still 1-1. Bruno needs to come off.

There’s not loads I’d change about our squad, it’s become a unit again. GK to challenge Pope RCB to compete with Schär CM to replace Longstaff or Miley. CF to replace Wilson RW to compete with Murphy If Gordon leaves let Cordero be backup for Barnes.
-
Nick Pope - still our best keeper but.. Martin Dúbravka - he’ll leave despite contract. Odysseas Vlachodimos - will be sold. Mark Gillespie - backup to the backup. John Ruddy - basically a coach? Kieran Trippier - 1 more season! Sven Botman - best defender we have Fabian Schär - exceeding expectations always. Very important still. Dan Burn - see above. Jamaal Lascelles - time to move on. Emil Krafth - basically the only backup for Schär. Reliable. Needs to stay. Valentino Livramento - better at LB than Hall. Lewis Hall - talented and not the finished article yet. Matt Targett - time to move on. Alex Murphy - not seen enough to think he’s going to make it. Loan would do him good. Bruno Guimarães - lack of pace his only chink in the armour. Superstar and needs to stay. Joelinton - been brilliant of late. Has to stay. Sandro Tonali - Keep at all costs. Sean Longstaff - can be useful.. but if 1 had to go it would be him. Joe Willock - hopefully injury issues behind him but jury still out. Lewis Miley - he needs to play more. Loan? Anthony Gordon - anything around 80-100m would take. Harvey Barnes - better than Gordon. Jacob Murphy - Deserves his place on merit. The soul of the squad. Alexander Isak - keep at all costs. Callum Wilson - time to move on William Osula - lunatic. Potential. Keep. So basically the only ones that should even be considered to leave would be Dubs - new contract, small fee? 2m Odysseus - shady Saudi deal Lascelles - owes us nothing. Targett - 3-5m A. Murphy - loan Longstaff - sell for 15-20m Miley - don’t sell if Longstaff leaves. Loan be good. Gordon - sell reluctantly. He’d cost a bomb

He’s an absolute stud.

He's literally just had 3 weeks of every man, woman and child in the area wanting a photo with him. He'll have caught something off someone. Maybe he's got that nasty covid that gives you the endless shits and he's just very dehydrated.
-
It's a good point. I've felt that about him since Isak emerged, just lost the fight to be the best he can be. Does look a shadow of his former self and i suppose injuries can be blamed but we've had other players over the years who have come back from worse so there definitely has to be an attitude element to it as well. At least he managed to get a medal before he retired (or move down the leagues).. although saying that, i can still see someone like West Ham giving him a 1 year deal.

Not sure about the badge outline but love the design overall (if it's real)
-
I'd very much like it if he stayed here until he was into his 30's but we also need to be realistic. If we can't hold onto him then we need to sell when his value is at it's highest. Is that now or one more epic season? I think we can get 175m for him that would help the club massively. We're so dependent on him because our other options are so poor. If by selling him we can bring the averages up, it will soften the blow a bit. My gut feeling is one more season or.. if we end up top 4 then all that goes out the window.

Captain Steak Bakes (now managing Blackpool/revising history)

Also seems the players thought in exactly the same way as the supporters. We're light years from that terrible place now. -

3-0 down.. "i told you i don't do tactics.. put your boots on and work hard" Absolutely stealing a living that chap. You have to admire it. -
Love the way he picks up Willock.. mad as a brush this lad! Seems very popular in the squad already.
-
The deluded minds still think their club is some way relevant. The previous couple of derby games is where we were literally at rock bottom. Worst shape the club has been in the modern era and beating us at that point in time is their peak as a club and city. Forever in our shadow.

Hopefully Sunday has added another 5-10k seats to the agenda

Good morning everyone 🙂

In the bleekers in Dublin, home away from home. Packed with black and white. Balled my eyes out for a good 20 mins. Is this real? Did we actually do it!? Fuuuuuuuuuckkkkkk

They are the most arrogant bunch of cunts.. up there with Man Utd's supporters. You should see their forum.. playing the victims already saying our midfield are going to get away with murder etc.. and "we'll probably get booked on our first tackle"... absolute shite. Oh and it's a complete echo chamber for those who like to virtue signal.. like the whole Saudi thing.. as fucking if they'd be out protesting if they had bought their club instead. They are our bogey team.. no question about that but we can beat them..

It all depends on how capable the design team are. For a brand new site, why couldn't the build take under 5 years? Spurs new ground didn't take more than that iirc. Everton's the same. Modern building techniques can take a lot of time off total construction time. It really depends on what the unique selling point of the stadium will be. Sustainability, energy efficient, multi purpose etc. The more bells and whistles will add time.
-
5 years should be the maximum amount of time. Even the Bernabau got done just under that amount of time (during Covid, whether that's a plus or minus) 75k is the magic number

We've been waiting for PIF to flex since they came in.. will it happen this summer?
-
I think it's safe to make an assumption that Anderson or Minteh may not have been sold if there was strong interest in any other players like Targett, Lascelles, Longstaff etc. We may have had to sell one of them to bridge the PSR gap, but there wasn't the interest. No bid or indeed firm interest stays hidden.
-
Aside from selling the players we don't want to sell.. who exactly aside from Minteh and Anderson could we have sold? There was no interest
-
They were one of the worst teams in the league when we played them in November and yet they were made to look like a top 6 team by how shite we were. I'm expecting nothing tonight. Players have been on the beach since we got to the final.
-
We were in the relegation spots. That first January window couldn't have gone any other way. Of course we had to over pay to get players in. 40m on Barnes is the only one i can think of where we just didn't need to spend that, the rest there's a case for.
